predictions

Into October and a fairly distinct north – south split is currently being indicated with southern areas seeing above average rainfall and the far north of the country below average. This is indicative of northerly blocking (high pressure often being centred to the north of the UK) with the jetstream tracking south over or close to Britain bringing low pressure systems up from the southwest. Something else to watch during this month is the possibility of some stormy conditions, the pressure anomaly chart below shows how pressure is currently forecast to be lower than usual across much of the southern half of the country and out in to the Atlantic.

i believe ye hen.. i know its gonna be a good one as we intend taking the wee man away for a holiday. tonight its mild in the east of scotland and rain from the west coast and northern ireland. im on the east, near edinburgh so i KNOW its gonna happen.. it always does !!
