Ashley Cole ‘may leave UK over scandal’
Tuesday, February 23 2010, 10:14 GMTAshley Cole is considering quitting the UK for a new life abroad following his latest infidelity scandal, reports have claimed today.
According to The Independent, the footballer feels “victimised” by his current bosses at Chelsea FC following suggestions that he could be fined and suspended for allegedly conducting extra-marital affairs “on club time”.
The newspaper reports that Cole is now unsure whether he wants to continue at the club and also believes that he would get more privacy in Spain or Italy.
Meanwhile, The Sun claims that Spanish clubs Real Madrid and Barcelona are both hoping to snap up the sportsman after hearing rumours that he has been dumped by wife Cheryl.
A source said: “Ashley is having a rough time at the moment. If he and Cheryl get divorced, why would he want to stay in this country?”
Ashley has faced a series of allegations that he is a love cheat in recent weeks. The wave of claims began when X-rated pictures of the footballer were found on a topless model’s phone.

Poor soul…if an ordinary mortal had an affair on company time and were caught, they could quite rightly expect disciplinary action or even to be sacked. He may be a highly paid footballer but he is still an employee.

Now come on you lot …. don’t be so quick to condemn!!! Ashley is living 24/7 in the media spotlight and anything and everything he does is the source of yet ANOTHER gutter press expose. Look … he’s only a footballer for Christ’s sake. He gets paid for kicking a ball around at weekends, that’s all.
It’s not as if he is a ‘world leader’ or something – and as for Cheryl. Can you REALLY blame him for indulging in the odd bit of rumpy-pumpy here and there? After all she’s not exactly the sort of female you’d settle down for a quiet evening in with, is she?
In between enhancing her career and prancing around TV studios & clubs etc, I’ll bet she spends her time in front of a mirror admiring her latest Gucci or Prada accessory – oh and bursting into tears at the drop of a hat.
Ashley is better off without all of them and he should raise two fingers and piss off to Spain or Italy where the females are much more ‘accomodating’.
If he was happy he wouldn’t have gone elsewhere, just like lots of married people.
Being in the spotlight means he will eventually be caught!
Problem with the rich and famous is that they are so spoilt, instead of appreciating what they have they just want more.As i said when the john terry affair was bought up you’ll be hard to find a faithful one in that arena, and look at the shyte terry got, and being captain obv means he should be immune to sins of the flesh like he was a priest or summat, so it seems fair cole gets the same stick in my opinion, but in saying that i dont actually think their private lives should be anything to do with joe public anyway. as PB said they are footballers not the pope. its cheryl and ashleys business, and in fairness to cheryl i think she has so far conducted herself very well, and given him a chance after last time, but shes still gets stick thats not fair.

I read today that poor Ashley had the misfortune to have his mother-in-law living with him and Cheryl (in their NINE bedroomed mansion).
It is said that Cheryl & her mother would sit up late watching TV together whilst Ashley went to be by himself.
They must have made a right ‘Tweedy’ pair, sitting on the sofa and stuffing their faces – is it any wonder that Ashley looked for …..er…..companionship elsewhere???
ASHLEY Cole sparked fears for his mental state after sending a disturbing 3am text message to his friends saying: Thank you for everything.
The Chelsea star, 29, sent the troubled cry for help last week just hours after wife Cheryl Cole told him their marriage was over.
And friends of the injured defender were so panicked by the time and tone of the text that one immediately dashed to his Surrey mansion to check up on him.
One of Ashley’s close friends said yesterday: The message came completely out of the blue at 3 o’clock in the morning and sent shockwaves through Ashley’s camp.
He has a small and very close-knit circle of friends whom he sent the same message to and everyone who got it was very worried.
It was totally unprovoked and there were fears about where Ashley was mentally and what he was trying to say.
He was trying to say i’m pissed i reckon
