A teenager was stabbed when hundreds of people became involved in a battle on the streets of Preston.
Trouble centred on the Jamea Masjid mosque in Clarendon Street, Avenham, for more than four hours last night (Sunday) and led to a massive policing operation.
It resulted in one 16-year-old Asian youth being stabbed in the arm, but ambulance crews were turned back as the police felt it was too dangerous for them to enter the scene.
Fighting continued into the early hours and led to police requiring back-up from officers as far away as Lancaster and Burnley.
Chief Supt Mike Barton, divisional commander for the area, said more than 100 officers were deployed and he was treating the incident as race-related.
Insp Simon Hayes, force incident manager for Lancashire Police, described the incident as “community tension” with youths on the streets in a “confrontational mood“.
Ilyas Desail, of the Jamea mosque on Clarendon Street, said: “It is not a mosque issue, it is a community issue.
“It is the month of Ramadan and that is the only reason the mosque has been brought into this.
A mother-of-three, 33, from Clarendon Street, said: “It’s getting ridiculous and for the past two nights there’s been fighting.”

Why is this hushed up by national media? Is the political class scared sheetless that the guallable coronation street viewer will think multiculturalism isnt working, it isnt you know, and its set to get worse, but keep it to yourself shhhhh, dont tell your neighbours.
but emma this piece clearly says it was started by youths outside who where throwing stones at peoples cars who where attending the mosque?
if its race related then surely that means the youths where white?
so white people started it? and you say the problem is with immigrants?

White youths started it, and they were behaving racist. They should be locked up for ten years. The problem still exists, white, black, asian, muslim, christian etc etc just wont always get on, when they dont, people are murdered, stabbed, beaten up, abused verbally, is this the kind of situation we want to live in?
You cant force people to like something they dont naturally like, whether that be a muslim eating pork, or a white christian converting to islam.
We are not robots.

I read about this on Monday- It was reported as a minor news bulletin (if every fight over a weekend that involved a few hundred people was in the news, that’s all you’d read) and nothing else.
Not hidden, not underhand, not all that newsworthy- normal weekend ruck that happened to involve youths of different colours (as opposed to your numerous weekend rucks which tend to involve youths of the same colour, pished as tw/ats n intent on causing mayhem)

How many fights involving 200 hundred people or more occur in a year, let alone any weekend???

Funny how someone so opposed to “alien cultures” refers to the Asian St George and the semitic religion of Christianity in the signature of her posts.
People do get along as long as small-minded people don’t interfere with things. If you take the French world cup winning side the ethnicities ranged from all across the globe, Algeria, Armenia, France, Guadeloupe, Ghana, New Caledonia, etc. They all lived together for the duration of the tournament and clearly they got on well otherwise they wouldn’t have won. So it’s total bullsh1t to say people of different ethnicities can’t live together in the same society.

happened for years in ireland and would happen here too people dont like people and they will fight wether they have red hair or dark hair it wont matter fighting WILL always happen.
the romans couldnt stop it neither will any political party

All frenchmen together :D It took that “””french””” squad 20 years to gell together (slayer might know that), that was their plan.
In some aspects of multicultural society, it can work, it does work, people buy newspapers, cars and holidays from opposite ethnicities.
BUT, when it causes murder, segregation, racial discrimination, stabbings, riots etc etc, woooooooooooHH!!! Then we have to think very hard about it.
The problem with Nazis like mr bigastuff, is they want us to live together regardless of any harm it causes, because idiots like mr bigastuff know no different, they believe people should be forced to live their way, like animals in a pen.
Decent people deserve better than that, decent people know better.

OK Emma, decent people deserve better than to be scared to travel on a train on a saturday for fear of being on a football train. Decent people deserve better than be afraid to walk anywhere near a football ground on a saturday. Decent people deserve better than to have hordes of f/cukwit “fans” marauding up and down city centres across the country
Think very hard about it- you gonna suggest we ban football?
