Anyways I like you both but honestly grow up and failing that grow a pair

Who needs to grow up and ‘grow a pair’?

Its all very well ignoring someone who is personally insulting you but you have to draw the line somewhere. Having disgusting things said about your children is something that no-one should have to put up with. You advocate turning a blind eye? Well personally I think that if Justchat condones such vile behavior from disgusting individuals than it is certainly not a chat site I’d like to use. The two individuals mentioned spend a considerable amount of time in chat and chatguides are able to read room histories so If your children are insulted I would certainly report it. If the powers that be do nothing than there is nothing you can do. I like to think that any chat site that promotes itself as a ‘friendly place to chat’ would take action.

Certainly some forums could do with a guide on station 24/7 but of course thats not going to happen!

Mucky i actually agree with what yv put here on this subject and i agree u know if you log on after a few visits you know what to expect and you have to have a tough skin and you learn not to let every remark get to you…… but …….

u say if u dont like it dont come in , but why should the normal chatters log off because of the abuse, ple like to pop in n talk to friends if ur a pleasant chatter why should u be deprived of this.

u also said u have to take the rough with the smooth, this is also a fair point everyone gets horrid comments hurtled at them and ple shouldnt get too upset at that.. but

… imagine if u can, think of the people u love the most in yr real life, maybe in the room u make an innocent comment about them and the abusers notice, now imagine months of everytime u log in the most vile of comments bein made about them .. i hope they get raped is one example ive saw in the room, i dont think u wld have the same feelings if this sustained abuse is aimed at you and yr lov ed ones. Ive seen the most disgusting of things written about chatters children in jc, i dont think saying just grow a pair n put up with it is possible for them, just because they are reading it on a screen dosnt mean its not hurtful for them. ive saw alot of lovely chatters leave because of what they have had to put up with in here and i can fully understand why they have left……………………..

so chatters be careful of what u type in here, luv to u all xxxxx

there is some types of abuse u cant just ignore in here……….. it damages u….. it deeply affects n hurts you…….. and i dont mean the odd weird lil remark u have to learn to put up with in here …. i dont think if you havnt actually experienced it first hand u dunno how it feels.

O.K i am not going to backtrack on this one. I am sorry that people have been abused. Incidentally have had my fair share. However, it’s a flippin’ chatroom for god’s sake.

I have a boozer near me, i went a few times, it was very rough, i stopped going. I didn’t ask the landlord to tell the locals off or ban them. I didn’t keep going back to a place that was vile and foul in my opinion. I simply stopped going.

If you go to a football match, you will no doubt encounter racism, foul language and often intimidation and physical violence. It’s not right, but it happens. If you don’t like it, don’t go.

I am not condoning such behaviour or can i pretend to understand it, but it happens in life, in chatrooms and everywhere else you care to mention.

So yes “grow a pair” and continue to visit and iggy or front up to the bullies or bugger off!!

So the parent who objects to a comment like that about their children should ‘grow a pair’, or switch off and find another chat room?

    Is this what you’re saying?

There are those who need to grow a pair but its not the ones you say. Switch off and bury your head in the sand? Well if such a thing was said about my children I certainly wouldn’t. Nor would I feel the need to grow some gonads!

You going into a pub isnt the same as having some idiot making perverted and disgusting comments about children. At least it isnt in my world. Maybe I am wrong…

Des I have already stated that i find these comments most objectionable. Awful in fact. However, it does not detract from my original point. Don’t like it, don’t use it. Bad song, don’t listen. Foul language, ignore it. Cr ap tv, don’t watch it. If i regularly went somewhere where my children were verbally abused i would either ignore it, or not go again.

Using the children argument just makes it more emotive. I have three small kids and would die for them. However, as said earlier, the chatters chiefly involved here have been coming for some time and know what to expect.

JC is not some highly regulated private chat club. It lets in all comers, just like the local boozer. You can either come back…….or you can move along to the next one

    THANK YOU DESMONDY!

that is the point i was originally making in my post! I can take being called names, its playground bullying, it gets tiring and a pain in the backside as like tiffany said, you ignore them, they come in as someone else, it’s never ending, it does get you down, more so if your already in a vunrable position, however when someone makes perverted ‘jokes’ about children (in my case, my niece, in tiffs case, her own kids) its wrong, plain and simple, lets pretend we are in a pub, if someone, no matter how drunk insulted me about my family or children, i’d want to punch their face in to be honest. its unacceptable!

Then, you have done the right thing Nicola by announcing your retirement from JC. Again, it’s not right, it’s a shame, but it’s life, chat etc.

And at this bleedin rate i won’t be coming back myself!!!

    :)
