All councils/ housing association in England are taking part in the “warm front” program.
They will be replacing your boiler, radiators and insulation soon.
with the cheapest systems they can get is the problem
2 October, 2008 at 12:29 pm #377105aha the plot thickens it seems that british gas doesnt bill per quarter in fact they bill for 11weeks and 3.33 days so it stops short of the 3rd month direct debit therefore making it look as if i should pay more if that makes sense?
2 October, 2008 at 12:31 pm #377106It doesnt make any sense
2 October, 2008 at 12:35 pm #3771072 October, 2008 at 12:36 pm #377108Well “pete”, I can tell you how to cut your home heating costs down to about £20 per month.
I can tell you how to find grants to pay for it.
But I can’t be bovver !!!!!
2 October, 2008 at 12:38 pm #377109Cath lose British Gas now.
Get a reading, pay your bill up to date and stop using them.
2 October, 2008 at 12:39 pm #377110thing is earlier this year i got a bill for £832 for the electrical i kicked off of course lol and they found because i had one of the meters with the dials different meter readers read it differently lol so they changed it, maybe its the same with the gas one too so going to ring them later to come check again , your quite right doa in my mind the bill is too high for what i am using but then again 50% rise does equate too grrrrrrrrrr
2 October, 2008 at 12:56 pm #377111Right had a look round and you are paying about £150 per year more than you need too.
On my housing heating chart, (even with the gas price increase) your paying 30% too much.
Look for a duel flue supplier (gas and electric) for the best deal.
