why has this term gone out of fashion??
I think now a lot of problems are covered by the term bi-polar.
But bi-polar is so bleedin’ borin’, like residential hospital instead of loony-bin or Bedlam (whre tours were once organised for respectable non-chavs to go and have a laugh.
I love the term sschizophrenia!! or better – schizo!!!
Something so bongo-barmy, Alfred-Hitchcock, Christ-where’s-the-door scary about it.
I’ve known schozos, and one very well indeed. Very painful condition. Painful for all concerned. But such fun in its own horrible little way.
Anyone else know any schizos?
Anyone schizo? or schizo tendencies?? *eyes alight with enthusiasm

22 June, 2012 at 12:15 pm #499650Schizophrenia and bi-polar are two different conditions…but I’m sure you know that.
Sorry but I don’t find mental health issues a laughing matter…I’m sure others will oblige though.
22 June, 2012 at 12:20 pm #499651you are never alone being a schizophrenic.

there is a strain of humour which laughs at what is unbearable, because crying isn’t an option
22 June, 2012 at 12:43 pm #499653In life, as a coping mechanism, yes…on a message board…no, not for me thank you.
22 June, 2012 at 12:46 pm #499654nobody’s making you do anything.
But teh extermination of the Jews in the death camps was a horror beyond imagination, whihc is why the pro-Nazi holocaust deniers on the chatroom were so offensive.
But there is humour to be had….
