No need to prove anything to a twat.

So you cant prove it and just running off your gob  B-)

And it’s not legal to carry one in the UK.

The simple answer is yes, you are allowed to carry an air gun in public, as long as you abide by the following 4 rules:

    1. YOU MUST HAVE A GENUINE REASON FOR CARRYING AN AIR GUN IN PUBLIC.

If you’re carrying an air gun in public, you must have a legitimate reason for doing so. And this does not include trying to look like your favourite action hero. Genuine reasons for carrying an air gun in public include travelling to or from a gun club, shooting competition or air gun shop.

    2. THE AIR GUN MUST BE INSIDE A SECURELY FASTENED CASE OR SLIP.

Your air gun must be placed inside a securely fastened case or slip when transporting. You can take a look at the hard case and slip we sell at The Airgun Centre by visiting our air rifle cases page.

    3. THE AIR GUN MUST BE UNCOCKED AND UNLOADED

It is critically important that your air gun is not loaded or cocked when transporting in public. Even a cleaning pellet left in the gun can be classified as “a loaded weapon”, so don’t take this one (or any of these) lightly! Plus, guns that take a multishot magazine will be considered as loaded – even if there’s no pellet in the actual barrel, so make sure you remove the magazine and all pellets from the mag whilst transporting in public.

    4. YOU MUST BE OVER THE AGE OF 18

This one might seem obvious, as you’re not legally allowed to own an air gun under the age of 18, but it’s worth making crystal clear that those under the age of 18 shouldn’t be carrying them in public either.

There is a ban on self-contained gas cartridge weapons but these fall outside that or they wouldnt be sold in the UK.

    hey fishpaste,

That Peppa Pig bag could do some damage to a potential attacker when wacked around his head. ‘Open carry’ as the yanks would say so ready to go! Try lead lining for extra potency.

Attacker jumps out of a bush in a dark public place dimly lit by a distant streetlight and grabs an innocent young lady locking his arms around her and ready to do unspeakable harm.

‘Hold on a minute’ she pleads.

Attacker releases his grip and stands back in confused sympathy.

‘I have a genuine reason for carrying an air-gun in public’ states the woman, calmly

    ‘Oh’ says the attacker.

‘I have the gun securely zipped inside a case inside my Peppa Pig bag. Can I show you please?

‘ Of course young lady’ says the attacker, showing his nice side.

Lady retrieves the airgun from it’s russian doll containers and then looks up at the attacker.

‘Now i need to load it’ says the lady

‘Hmmmm’ says the attacker, starting to show a smidgeon of impatience

‘ Now where did I put those bullets?’ says the lady

    She remembers….

‘Errrr,,,can you look away for a mo?’ she asks her would-be assailant.

The rapist slowly turns around….an indignant expression on his face

The lady slowly eases her hand into her knickers to retrieve the ammo

‘Ok you can turn around now’ she says.

Attacker looks at the lady – gun in her right hand..air pellets in her left.

‘Do you know how to load it that thing?’ he asks…

    ‘Errr…ummm…’

‘Can you show me ? she says doe-eyed ..offering the hardware to her new gun instructor.

‘Have you not had any training to use that thing’ he enquires of her

She looks even more sheepish at the question

    ‘Ummmm…no……see….i can’t get on a course cos i’m only 17.’

    ’17 !!!!’  he exclaims…’you’re only 17!!!!???’

The young lady takes advantage of the attacker’s confusion, throws the gun and ammunition at the man’s face and runs away into the night.

The attacker stands there aghast, bullets rolling around his feet.

‘Jesus…..17……’ What is the world coming to…’

I believe if you feel unsafe you’d have this ready.  There fast loading from wot I’ve seen and unless the area is operating a  stop and search policy…. I think you’d keep this loaded, put not primed.

At home its a different story…. no rules inside your own home.
