anyone watch this? its on late at night on c4 i think, never seen such poor comedy writing in my life, all be it all by amatures

so thinking of writing some myself for it, so need ideas folks, anyone got any great ideas for a comedy sketch

ie for example.. the two ronnies sketch with the fork handles is probably the best comedy sketch i have seen, whats the best sketch you have seen?

It really is abysmal that show, it is by amatuers, that the whole idea of the show, what gets me is that someone must read the scripts these people send in and think “Thats Brilliant” crab the cameras and phone the actors agency get some losers down hefre now and start filming, either that or they only get 1 or 2 scripts submitted and just have to use them no matter how rubbish they are.

I have more fun watching your face when I beat u at pro-evo 5 mate:) that could be a show all on it’s own.

As soon as I’ve fixed this shelf I’m starting on me script  don’t hold your breath though guys could be a few years away yet

Good comedy writing needs good chemistry and the more the merrier.

It was okay supose, never really got into it, had lots of friends who enjoyed it though, always tried to hard to be funny I thought, I’m sure some people found it hilarious, humour is a difficult subject to pidgeon hole, one mans Julian Clary could be another mans Ricky gervais, I find it an interesting subject, how humour has evolved over the decades, in the 60’s people couldn’t get enough of the CARRY ON FILMS but by todays standards it more embarrissing than funny, obviously some great actors appeared in those movies and individualy again some great comedic timing which you have to admire.

Back to the original subject still amazes me how certain sit-coms make it onto our screens, Barbera being a prime example, the Americans have nailed the Sit-com and are the best at producing genuine humour with great scripts and great lines, Think the problem in Britain is one person generaly writes the whole script and going back to my earlier point what he/she finds funny isn’t to everyones taste.

The Office is Superb and you have to take your hats off to Ricky and Stephen for producing one of the best comedies of our generation, two heads are better than one you see, think teams of writers are so much better than individuals in writing great comedy.

It’s definitely subjective. Interestingly, though, my favourite American comedy has always been the one man stand up stuff; Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy and Bill Hicks. The sitcoms always leave me a little cold.

I reckon it’s a great idea you all collaborating, though. You wouldn’t have to worry about the Tomster, Soulie, he’s a bigger, gayer, more ursine bear than me.
