Gordon Brown is going to try and spend his way out of this recession. Is this foolhardy and frankly irresponsible and will it leave this country with massive debts that could take decades to clear? That is what the opposition are saying, but is it true?

What is the alternative? Should the Bank of England cut interest rates and try to avoid triggering high inflation which is likely to happen if we are on a spend spend spend mission to escape recession?

Is Gordon Brown setting us on the path to economic ruin, or is his idea of kick starting a dying economy going to get us out of the looming recession?

Do you have faith in Gordon Brown?

As much faith as I had in Tony Blair which equals zero.

Well, is spending includes the partial nationalisation of some of our big banks, it’s better than the alteranative – e.g. Barclays, which is now going to be partially owned by the Abu Dhabi royal family!
