So the other day my BF said ” I cant believe how stingy you are with certain things yet so frivolous with other things”

    I mean….I was quite shocked..,what did I do?

Well ….you know when the hand soap bottle is nearly empty and you cannot pump anymore out yet there is a couple of centimetres in there I add a bit of water , which gives me more soap for more hand washes.

Is this really me being stingy or simply trying to empty out the product I paid for? I thought it was pretty normal tbh

So what do you do that might be seen as stingy to others?

I don’t do that with handwash but I do it with Fairy Liuid (the letter after p doesn’t work on my lappy)! I don’t think it’s being stingy, it’s being sensible.

You’ve made me feel guilty now so think I’ll be doing the same! And now I want to know what you are frivolous with ? :rose:

Well LD I wouldn’t think twice on spending money on a handbag if I loved it……having said that I am waiting on a trip to America to buy my Mulberry bag….it will be cheaper there! I will ask him what else he thinks I waste money on…..if he values his life he will say “nothing dear”

With the washing up liquid……I turn it upside down and leave it upside down in the caddy thing so I literally use every drop….same with shower gel…when it gets low, while I am getting ready to shower I will turn the bottle upside down so the gel is waiting to be squeezed out…..we  pay for 100mls or whatever the quantity right? So I will use the 100mls lol….

I think reading this I sound like a right tight arse!

Eating out is so expensive now Linda and most places have a reduced menu….I must admit I don’t eat out as much as I used to….that’s because I got so comfortable in lockdown not going out and socialising…..getting back into the swing of it became a chore…getting dressed etc….putting on a bra  ….

I am out to afternoon tea tomorrow….but it was a present  :good: Only took me 5 months to book it

My food waste caddy recycleable bags are nearly £5 for 10 (or is it 6)…..as I don’t have alot of food waste and the caddy is collected weekly I put it out fortnightly instead so the bag is full!

Stop buying liquid hand soap you planet killing bitch !!!

    Read:
    https://theecoguide.org/liquid-vs-bar-soap-which-more-environmentally-friendly

The question is simple: would you save up bits of old soap bars to make a new one?

Only if you had a mental disorder.

Why do it with liquid soap?

Unfortunately in the past year people have became soap snobs. They will judge you by the soap in our bathroom. Even I’ve latched on to this after all the hand washing since covid. I only buy bio d soap now.

With the cost of living increasing small changes make all the different. Using a kettle with a smaller capacity and lower energy needs saves on bills. Walk around your home, don’t leave anything on “stand by”. I’ve even started turning off my router at night before bed. Smart lighting is a winner too.

Stop using any supermarket with “ express or local” in the name. Its shocking how stuff sells 10-20% more than there main stores. Over all shopping “in store” is a rip off design sell you stuff you don’t really need. Add on the cost of getting there and its clear online food shopping even with the delivery its cheaper. You can spend a few days working on the order at home instead of walking around trying to remember what you came in for.

    :bye:
