    PUZZLE 1

    ROW 5 ACROSS (I.E. MIDDLE ROW) IS AS FOLLOWS 9 3 8 7 6 2 1 4 5

    ROW 7 DOWN FROM LEFT IS AS FOLLOWS – TOP TO BOTTOM 8 6 ? ? 1 9 ? 7 5

Grrr I’ve got pen marks all over my screen now! Did you mean Column 7? Ffs I am confused even more now…ok try 4 or 2 then ;)

Seriously, could you explain how you work out each answer – for example, the first answer could have been 1, 6 or 7 – how were we to work out that it was 6? If you are simply looking for completely random guesses (I would never have started with that square btw) then what is the point of this thread? Maybe move it to F1 or Quizzes and Games as the people there might enjoy that sort of erm… ‘test’?

However, if you could work the answer out by logic so that it could ONLY have been a 6, then please explain to thickos like me how you did it so we can learn the noble art. Good luck anyway PP – nice to see someone trying something different.

Sorry Ugo its wrong – as I said if you copy the grid and fill in the numbers to date you will make it easier for yourself – 1 was in the square 2 rows above the one you are after

    Bloody have ant I :? :? :? :?

4 is the correct answer Rossy – well done

Thank you for your comments James – I have decided to ask Martin to delete this thread because it is causing so much trouble. If you do not want me to delete this please speak up.

Its a good one and taxes your brain

Seems like a decent enough game to me. If people participating actually worked out the *whole* solution first it would probably help them, instead of all the wild stabs in the dark.

    PUZZLE 1

It does get easier the more squares you solve and as I say write them down and it is quite simple logic to work them out.

PLEASE FIND THE THIRD SQUARE DOWN ON THE THIRD ROW FROM THE RIGHT
