:roll: when u delete the temp internet files were do they go? soz 4 being thick :D
I believe that they bypass the recycle bin and get lost onto the hard drive, and fragmented until they are overwritten by other files and thus irrevocably lost.

Gary “the kiddie fiddler” Glitter – and I suspect loads of others as well. They don’t realise that these files are only overwritten over a period of time, depending on how much the computer is used. They can be recovered and reassembled using proprietary software for weeks and weeks after they have been apparently deleted.
You can permanently erase files by using a deletion programmes that overwrite ‘free’ disc space with a load of zeros – a so called military wipe – but this is an extreme measure and is totally unnecessary for ‘normal’ users.
dropping the comuter from the 7th floor of the building may delete them too, though not advisable for normal users… just the insane ones

I have another theory, bear in mind it might be a little far fetched.
The temp files turn into magic dust particles and float onto the RAM chips. These chips are in fact sheep must mistaken for RAM. Then they get hurded by Bill Gates’ sheep dog called “sheepdogXP”. The sheep are forced out through any hole in the tower case possible and taken to bill for his viewing at leisure.
But as i said, this is ony a rumor…
but criminals can still plead temporary insanity, but i never believe that is temporary either.
i’m sure wacko jacko keeps looking for that button, but i believe its under his nose
