In a live interview on Irish radio last week, Channel 4 news anchor Jon Snow alluded to former British Prime Minister Tony Blair as being the ultimate “actor-barrister”.
Snow also spoke of Mr. Blair’s “dark side”, admitting that he neither like or disliked the man (that it was difficult to do either actually) but was well aware of the gravity of his importance and impact on British and global politics.
Snow also warned interviewer Ryan Tubridy (who was set to interview him on Ireland’s biggest TV show) of the notorious slippery nature of the ex PM.. The world famous deflections and uber charm.
    The interview happened last friday.

    Here it is..

Tony Blair on The Late Late Show

The following day, as I’m sure most of you know, Mr. Blair’s book signing of his memoirs in Dublin was rather controversial..

    Tony Blair in Dublin

Reaction to this event has been mixed.
Personally, I think the eejits who protested on saturday were something of a shameful embarrassment to Ireland.. and this btw is coming from one who took to the streets numerous times in 2003 in marches against the Iraq war.
The numbers greeting Mr. Blair far outweighed those hurling objects at him in truth, but it was an ugly incident.
He subsequently cancelled a book signing in London.

If you had to write a few lines (or indeed pages) on Tony Blair, what would they say?
Mostly good? Mostly bad? A large chunk of both?

In the words of the very alluring Kate O` Sullivan
“ He is a war criminal and he has pretty much gotten away with it “

Not much can be added to that really!

Blair may well be a war criminal in some people’s eyes but it seems he became a war criminal in order to get rid of a bigger, more sinister war criminal – Saddam Hussien.

Hussien it seems was on par with Hitler with his genocide and ethnic cleansing. He too was on par with Stalin with his use of secret police, torture, murder etc to maintain control over the Iraq ppl.

Maybe the reasons for going to war were wrong based on the info of 45 mins and WMD and I’m not condoning or condemning the war but I wonder how the Kurds view Blair? I wonder how ordinary Iraqi ppl view Blair?

Blair didn’t take a unilateral decision to go to war – there was a vote in Parliament. And then if Blair is a war criminal, so too is our current PM as he voted for the war in Parliament.

My perosnal opinion of Blair? A damn good PM.

Yes, and there really is control in Iraq now isn’t there ?

As Hitler had his fair share of warped followers who believed his every utterence, so has Blair ! He fiddled the books like they all do, upto a million deaths later and that of our own citizens also, yes, he will leave a mark alright… A great Bloody Red one… And what did Dr kelly really have to say ? I guess we will never know will we! why ? …Because they have sealed it up for half a century or more, enough time to let the guilty die in peace and swamped in luxury… In my opinion of course, and the ever growing peoples from just about every country in this world..

The complicity of these Devils makes my gut wrench…. what about all the other atrocities around the world ??????? Are they blind to them ??????? Have they not heard the children of Israel screaming for over 50 years being shot in cold blood…Yes, they serve their people well dont they?

They tried to justify the war by saying Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. They had been quite happy to deal with him, and have him over for tea then suddenly they wanted to get rid of him.

    Oil

No more nor less… they did it to get their hands on his oil.

I imagine there will be a few Iraqi’s who were glad that Saddam was killed. But it does not mean that the future will not hold another despot and dictator for them all once the USA finally moves out and leaves them all to it. In fact, I dare say there are a couple waiting in the wings.

”In the final Iraq debate of 18 March, Sir Teddy Taylor was on the case again, this time urging the Prime Minster to make a statement before the war began, asking him, “Will he tell the House whether there has been any identification of the countries that have supplied these terrible biological materials – should those countries not be identified – named by the Prime Minister and condemned?” Mr Blair replied with just eight words, saying, “Much of the production is in Iraq itself.”

Filthy dirty bloodstained Scumbag lying dog i hope you choke on your own vomit !

“Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has received the 2010 Liberty Medal for his global human rights work and commitment to international conflict resolution:shock:
Former President Bill Clinton gave Blair the medal on Monday at the National Constitution Centre in Philadelphia, which presents the annual award to those striving to bring liberty to people worldwide.
Blair was chosen for his work promoting religious tolerance, improving African governance, securing a peace accord in Northern Ireland and working toward Middle East peace.
A publicity tour for Blair’s best-selling memoir has seen protests in Ireland and Britain by opponents of the Iraq War. There were no protests at the Philadelphia ceremony, which featured a performance by The Irish Tenors and a video tribute from U2 lead singer Bono, a 2007 recipient”

“Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face forever” ~Orwell 1984~

Blair’s earning enough through his speaking tours. The witch and all her fellow lawyers milked enough millions through New Labour.

Everyone got what they wanted from playing the game, we did what the Americans wanted and the working man got shafted.

    Plus ca change . . . . . . .
