Right, I’m gonna make a concerted effort to actually try and understand this game.
Have only ever glanced at it when passing the TV, never actually sat down to watch it, but, according to all the male members of my family, i am missing out big time.
So, Gyppo is gonna watch some cricket – will give you appraisal in near future!!
How many of you lot are into this strange game then??
21 July, 2005 at 11:30 am #127082its a great game for the educated, by this, i mean for those who take time to learn the game

6 August, 2005 at 5:48 pm #127085i thought todays cricket was up there with any footy match in at an entertainment value, top stuff by freddie
6 August, 2005 at 11:55 pm #127086there was’nt that many shots where batsmen got themself out, i think it was more great bowling, and plus bad decisions by the unpire
7 August, 2005 at 1:10 am #127087more exciting to watch though, but even in the past, we had players like viv richards and ian bothem, i don’t think its a new thing
freddie had to play the way he did, cause he had the bottom order with him, and is always the case, thats why he bats where he is, it won’t be the last time we see him save england like that
7 August, 2005 at 11:39 am #1270881 -1 …. roll on Old Trafford
7 August, 2005 at 12:22 pm #127089only just, great game though.. i think i might drive down on the sunday next week, but saying that, could be all over by saturday
10 August, 2005 at 5:01 am #127090i like cricket i have to admit, i layed it all through school in the team, but i an see why some find it boring
but i have a solution for them
try watching the highlights on channel4 of an evening, itl be called today at the test, its obviously alot quicker, and for anyone who isnt really into cricket because of the time between each ball being bowled, then its ideal i think
i have a friend who wont watch it live, but will watch the high lights
just a suggestion of course
