I thought we could share about the books we are reading, read and want to read. I’m no bookworm, but enjoy a good read.
A brilliant book I read a little while ago was Memoirs of A Geisha by Arthur Golden. Fascinating insight into these girls lives.

One that I read in one day (a lovely lazy day in the sunshine with a book and a long drink – heaven!) and loved was The Alchemist bye Paulo Coelho.
These days most of the books I read are books that I sell in the shop, customers seem to expect me to have read them for some reason…

14 May, 2010 at 6:20 pm #440262At the moment I’m reading The Life Of Mahatma Gandhi by Louis Fischer. An amazing insight into his life. Some of the places mentioned in the book where historical events took place are places I have actually visited.

15 May, 2010 at 8:49 am #440266“Our Betty”, Liz Smith’s autobiography. Not one of those luvvy celebrity bios but a raw, open, honest account tinged with sadness and hilarity and yes, as expected, she’s slightly eccentric (!)
15 May, 2010 at 11:28 am #440267Currently i’m reading Columbine by Dave Cullen which strips away all the media/police lies surrounding the school shooting and delivers the facts in a most fascinating way. Surely the greatest true crime book ever.
