Quite concerning seeing a teacher do such a countown to the holidays, and even more concerning when the teacher teaches young children. If you dislike your job so much what affect must it be having on children in your care for 6 hours at a time? 8)

Who said she disliked her job? Don’t you do a countdown to your holiday? I love my job and I still do a countdown to that well-earned break…16 days to go :D/

maybe like most teachers, she is very dedicated and committed to her job and her pupils. Doing many unpaid hours of marking, preperation and report writing outside of hours. So she has more than likely earned the chance to countdown to her holidays. I start counting from the day I go back to work. Who knows, we may see a count down clock, to going back to school (doubtful, but who knows).

Well said Andy…my sis and bro in law are both teachers and very dedicated to their jobs. They also do lots of after hours marking, lesson planning etc. My sister has just put on a brilliant dance show about Helen of Troy at her school, took seven months of planning and lots of long days sometimes she didnt get home til 9pm, shes a mother also so her job is not finished when she does get home.
I used to think Teachers had it easy with all the holidays etc but i now know that they dont..and tho i believe secondary school teaching is harder than primary school i still think they all do a great job.
