Can any of you good people enlighten me as to wether there is at present a megga mosque either being planned or being built in london ??? I recieved several e mails recently asking people to sign a petittion against said mosque. ive heard many tales of it and the story changes. some say it will open the same year as the olympics, and others say its all blollox some say it will hold 40 000 worshippers and others say there is no such plans as yet ???? im confused and dazed …. :wink:

Three schools are shutting in my area so a super new one can be built just for the Olympics so it wouldnt surprise me. No thought for education in the meantime given as usual… where are the athletes going to come from, or is the mosque for all of us to go and pray in when we are reaching to the skys and screaming “What is happening to my life!!” :shock:

Yes it is true. There is a planning application before Westminster Council to build a 52,000 place mosque in St James Park – roughly opposite Buckingham Palace.
Apparently HM the Queen is all in favour of it because by the time it is built, Prince Charles will be King and he can have the problem of being woken at dawn.
