I just endured the out of hours doctors surgery. I got there at 8.15 for a 8.40 appointment and at 9.25 I was seen. While I was waiting in the waiting room a little kid puked all over the place which was a joy to behold! I eventually got seen and the doctor undid my bra to listen to my chest and made my lift my t shirt which my own doctor never does so I was a little surprised! Anyway top and bottom of it is I have a chest infection and need antibiotics but low and behold the damn chemist closed at 9pm so what the hell was the point in me going to the out of hours doctor when I can’t get my medicine until tomorrow anyway! Not the best evening I have ever had let me tell thee!

28 September, 2009 at 8:21 am #417744In the olden days doctors used to have a bag with bits and pieces of medication and would give you a few tablets to get you started until you could get to a chemist…those days are gone.
28 September, 2009 at 8:52 am #417745and in the olden days doctors let you tell them what tablets you wanted too
now.. if you dare tell them what you think you have…they look down their noses at you and want to know your medical training history :shock:bring back the good ole days i say
