A good point jamie…….some how black and white in the movies was always sharp, focused and to the point……

I’m not saying i liked every thing in black and white but to be honest….all i am saying is that it color seemed to miss the point…..

I mean with color it was apparently more realistic…more dramatic, more true to life…..more moral even……

Only thing that color did to knock black and white off the screen was to increase the price for the privilege

Dident get a color telly till i was about 18.Did not bother me in the slightest,i preferd black and white. The tv licencs, went up for that privilege.👿

Yes as an after thought………….drama has always been an essential part of the screen…………to be honest though…the less drama one has in one’s own life the better so logically watching drama is just really escaping one’s own….

I love Talking Pictures channel as i may already have mentioned in many of my unread posts but hey……….nothings really ever unread here……just pictures or memories waiting to be re-opened…..

Reminds me of the classic joke………..as mentioned by an old friend of mine Bill from Edinburgh…………Nostalgia ain’t what it used to be…

Here’s a question…………did any one care about color T.V til color T.V happened?……………..and another question and correct me if i’m wrong…..but apart from the Wizard of Oz…..was there another earlier color film?.

No Q ,i will tell you this tho.Non of my kids can stand an old black and white film.Except my son,who likes a good laugh at Cary Grant,he thought him very funny.

Hmmmm the wizerd of oz,no i cant think of any.

Ah Cary Grant…starred in some great films………..North by North West if i’m not very much mistaken……which may have also starred James Mason as well……….and a great female actress
