I dont know if this is a worth trying , how about the poster has to find
a word that is unusual , and then the next poster has to find the meaning , or
what they think is the meaning of the word . As depending on where you come from
words can have different meanings . Could be quite educational :). And leave a word
for the next poster .. Try not to google the word and clues can be asked for .HABANERA ……

Its a given name for something slow and seductive .
Sorry, it was ringing bells and I had to google…one song, one dance :D
I remember our flamenco teacher performing this for us at the end of term evening…she said it wasn’t true flamenco, but she loved it anyway. She had the stereotypical Spanish flamenco dancer looks – dark hair swept up, flashing dark brown eyes, an imperiousness in the look as she danced. Flamenco has such passion!
Give me a little while to come up with a word! :lol:

Your teacher was right its a Cuban dance .
Yes, she told us it was Cuban but had strong parallels with the flamenco tradition. Many Spanish flamenco dancers wouldn’t dance it when it was brought to Spain, they said it diluted the dance, but she saw it as a symbol of how flamenco had influenced the world and now the world was influencing flamenco and that it should be allowed to grow and embrace its sister dances such as the Habanera…it’s all coming flooding back!
All I remember was being wowed, flamenco seemed so rigid and formal despite its passion, whilst the Habanera was sensuous and flowing, yet the parallels were there to be seen.

Well its NOT a fear of scoprions which i first thought, then googled – good word.
I cant play this game Google is a good friend of mine and if they found out i was thinking for myself there’d be trouble.Good thread though.

I think your going to have to give a clue to others for that word as stated i cant play this game but am very intrested in it. I do like learning new words.
