Just to confirm, there is a socks protocol. They have to be odd, and you have to justify it.

Roger does yellow and black because he once played for Wasps thirds.

Doug does cerise pink and black cherry, I have my doubts about him, and so far no one has asked.

Percy does orange and purple because his second cousin was backing singer to the Clash.

Sonya does lincoln green and fawn because her colouring consultant told her she was autumnal.

We may not be cute, or rugged (apart from Sonya), but we are happy.

Within a lodge you must be unique, unless anyone has paid the VIP fee and secured a colour combo for life. Freddie “Full English” Hobson is famous for his hash brown and yolk yellow mix and being the only VIP member.
