I have been told that I have no water or heating until the parts come for my boiler and its gonna cost me £250.00 for the pleasure….oh well at least its gonna be safe once its done cos it aint been apparently for the last 3 fooking years!
29 September, 2005 at 10:01 am #35972:shock: Giggles if You can tell Me what the parts are I’ll be able to tell You if You are getting ripped off  British Gas should be paying why did they not pick up on it before ?
29 September, 2005 at 10:06 am #35973I asked them that too flirty and I have scoured my contract…unfortunately they are in the right and I have to shell out in order to get the boiler up to scratch  once its done I’m covered for all eventualities but to be honest I wouldn’t have signed up with them if I had known
the technician spoke to me like I was daft for buying a house with a dodgy boiler but I said to him ‘what do you know about housing?’ he said nowt and so I said ‘there you go then, I do, I’m not a corgi registered plumber, I’m a housing practitioner so stop talking down to me’ I don’t reckon it sat right well with him…..me and my big mouth
btw its a flue and a 12 inch extension for a SIME boiler
29 September, 2005 at 10:13 am #35974:shock: thats sounds very Expensive :? Never come across a Sime Boiler but I’ll look into it Im sure one of My suppliers will know of it  Write a letter to the HVCA and Corgi both have advice teams that may be able to help find out if British Gas can leave You that long without heat and hot water :? How long have You had a Contract with them ?
