Here’s a true story and it involves many people………every one needs friends and every one needs people to talk to and in my opinion…this Just guy is probably one of the sanest people i’ve ever spoken to here…..

    jn,

up to you, but ultimately it’s you who will help you.

Linda, we have a different financial system here. You#re given a limited time frame depending on the seriousness of your problems, unless you’re in a mental health hospital.

Misterq good points. But Doctors and therapist work very differently, especially with mental health.

mental health isn’t the same as physical health.

I wouldn’t totally trust a doctor of physical health, but it’s more in their hands because of their expertise.

Mental health is very different, as linda says.

It’s a very young science, and the experts are terribly divided about what is best. What unites them is the arrogant belief that they are absolutely right and their opponents totally wrong.

When it comes to therapy, it’s not like some problems with your liver or your heart. It has physical effects, but it’s to do with your mind.

Your mind is yours, not anyone else’s. You have the final say, but also in terms of therapy your therapist can only go as far as you are willing to allow them to go. You have to take control, and the therapist is there, or should be there, to help you get back control.

Ask her if you’re not sure about what I’m saying.

Scep agree. That why agreed with u spreading out visits.

Many of our insurance carriers allow a time frame for treatment. Those not insured also limitations…

What I don’t like is when a therapist may say well 8 weeks, 12 should resolve an issue. Depends on relationship u have with therapist.

Also as providing therapy, not allowed to tell a person what and what can do, but rather make suggestions for changes providing support.. eventually as u also pointed out, depends on the person’s will to listen and try through suggestions.

my experience with drs is they are mostly incompetant, and they cleary dont have no intell about mental health, all I see them as is some human drug vending machine.

also the way I see things in life about mental health, is people need to try all different ways to try and fix there brain, and never refuse any type of way.

also she said max is 18 50 m to 60 h sessions, but that dont mean they can not add more, it is just the max they have had there I think, but obv the crap dose of funding for mental health, it cud be lacking essential sessions.

also with mental health idiots think one fix will fix all, it is simply not true, someone cud be say anxious for some reason, and someone else anxious for the same reason, it dont mean they can both be fixed the same way and or same time period if at all.

also if some medical book says for example “someone with bi/manic d, can be be happy for 30 min then suicidal” it dont mean 30 min is fact for all people with that mental prob.

Least you are taking baby steps whinging on a chatroom and complaining about the funding you seem to think you deserve.

In answer to the question…why aren’t we moving faster……..because every thing really comes down to money at the end of the day…(and at the beginning)……..How did people actually survive before money was invented?…LMAO

That a picture of the Mary Rose Sceppers? interesting ship………Scientists have apparently proved that what actually sank it was not the weight of the cannons or the design but in fact…there were too many persons standing on it…..Probably the start of the industrial revolution…Henry 8th…..hmmmm too many people working…get rid of them….LMAO

Wonder what life would have been like if Henry 8’s brother hadn’t died?

Could say the same about Edward’s abdication as well really….what would life have been like today?
