No, in all seriousness Isla is a beautiful place, well worth a visit. There is a nice whisky distillary there so I have been told :)

Fantastic roads to drive around (if you’re into driving), brilliant scenery (providing the mist clears), good people too!
Also drive round the “Western Coastal Route to Ullapool”, fantastic scenery and so remote!

I have been to Skye, and i have also been to the Outer Hebrides. and enjoyed them both :D
Thank you all for your suggestions. Isle of Skye is where I really wanted to go, even found a lovely remote cottage on a cliff top, then I done AA Route Finder and it was gonna take 9 hours to get there :roll: dozy mare!!!!!
Anyway, think we have decided on Loch Lomond, beautiful but not too far to drive. Been there before and I loved it but it was with a “previous” so I was trying to go somewhere else :lol: . But nope, Loch Lomond it is. Now just gotta find a lodge/log cabin. Oh, thanks for your hotel suggstion Lucky, maybe last year that would have been an option but family/financial circumstances have changed somewhat :lol: .
