who are you kidding trying to make us think you are sticking up for jc justice? Where were u when abuse was happening on a daily basis in the room against loads of chatters? Why weren’t you brave enough to fight for jc justice then? Why weren’t you brave enough to confront the scum and their vile words and accusations?

Let me explain this to you, for probably the 8th time.

The precedence has now been set that mass bannings will be issued in response to abusive messages.

This should mean that everyone that posts abuse should be banned without warning, but this isn’t what happened. Some people can post as much abuse as they want an nothing will ever happen to them.

We want to know why certain people are protected by the guides, and that either:

    1. All people who post abusive messages are banned
    2. People that were previously banned for abuse are unbanned

Either option is acceptable, as they are consistant enforcement of the rules.

Tell me what part of this you do not understand, please be specific.

There were no mass banning’s as such. Numbers are simply not allowed to enter anymore which is a great thing.
No one can post as much abuse as they like, if your referring to the boards they get removed eventually.
No chatter is protected by any guide. That’s a myth. If they step over the mark they will be banned in the Chat room if a Guide or Host is in and sees it.
No Guide or Host has any power over the boards. If they see abuse in the rooms they will act accordingly.
JC is much nicer now numbers are not allowed in to abuse and people can actually chat.

The boards are very busy now which is great too even if most of us can’t be bothered to read a lot of the tripe that’s posted. It still makes for a diverse and interesting community to chat in, whichever way you look at it, it’s much nicer now.

    To name a few:

    • All guests
    • Whizz
    • Merlin
    • Tracy
    • Guru (reinstated)

Even without the guests, that’s getting on for half of the active users of JustChat, we dont have many left.

Nobody is going to believe you

I’ve brought many examples of abuse to hosts and guides and its always dismissed, with the response being either “grow up” or “I don’t see it”.

No Guide or Host has any power over the boards. If they see abuse in the rooms they will act accordingly.

Then why aren’t you taking action?

What are you talking about?  The chat is dead.

At the time of writing, the last messages were posted nearly 8 hours ago.

The denial of abuse existing is obvious and blatant protection of certain users.

Telling me to grow up is indirect, but why am I told to grow up, but when certain other people are abused there has to be mass bannings?

    Edit:

Also, I should mention all the times that I have been put on mute for reporting abuse. That falls under the blatant category.

Ok… see a bit of reality is needed here

LGBT in Britain – Home and Communities Report also shows persistent challenges for LGBT people feeling comfortable being open about their sexual orientation or gender identity with their friends and family.

    • Half of BAME LGBT people (51 per cent) face discrimination within the LGBT community.
    • More than a third of trans people (36 per cent), one in eight LGBT disabled people whose activities are ‘limited a lot’ (13 per cent), and one in five LGBT people of non-Christian faith (21 per cent) say they’ve experienced discrimination from within the community because of different parts of their identities.
    • Only half of lesbian, gay and bi people (46 per cent) and trans people (47 per cent) feel able to be open about their sexual orientation and/or gender identity to their whole family.
    • A third of bi people (32 per cent) say they cannot be open about their sexual orientation with anyone in their family.

When we talk about abuse on here…. its part of the real world outside chatrooms. Members of LGBT community can be abusive like anyone else.  While the anonymous guest system was operating trying to identify a persons sexuality was impossible.   In many ways this is still the case with members choosing the information they share with other users of the site.

    Mass banning?

Whizz, Merlin, Tracy and Guru have a history of ban’s.   The simple truth is: if you spend too long on the site… sooner or later you will lose it and cause trouble.

The main cause of this is boredom

There is no such thing as a “LGBT community”, no more than there is a White community, or a Woman community, or a Brown-eyed community.

Grouping people into classes based on arbitrary characteristics is Neo-Marxist nonsense. This framing alone is more than enough to discard this report and any of it’s findings, as it is built ontop of a false premise.

Members of LGBT community can be abusive like anyone else.

Most of the abuse that I get about my sexuality (in real life) is from gay men or lesbian women.

This is an effect that is visible in the report, but it is not mentioned in the text.

The simple truth is: if you spend too long on the site… sooner or later you will lose it and cause trouble.

So why allow people onto the site at all then, if this is true?

What a silly person you are !

The comments made just just offend most gay people or are you the only gay in the village?

Maybe you should look up Stonewall before making comments again.

Now stop waving the LGBT flag !!!

We’re more than our sexuality  !!!!

I’m not going to name names….. but after spending a few hours on the site people run out of conversation:  at this point abuse starts.

    They don’t, they offend socialists.

Maybe you should look up Stonewall before making comments again.

I’m aware of the Stonewall riots, they happened 60 years ago, in america.

Why is an organisation in the UK named after them?

And more importantly, how is it relevent to this thread?

Now stop waving the LGBT flag !!!

The only thing I would do with one is burn it.

Stop politicising my sexuality, LGBT activists don’t represet me, and I don’t agree with them.
