Full of party food? I don’t intend having a party, I never have a party at Christmas and if I did I would cook proper food! So what’s it doing there, I’ll tell you what it’s doing there…..
Whilst trawling round Tesco you suddenly notice this cold cabinet full of party food BUY ONE GET ONE GET FREE ! Whether you like it or not your drawn in and think ahhhhhhhhh someone might pop round and oh those prawn things good and ooooh I love spicy chicken wings and mmmmm sticky chicken kebabs I’ll have some of those and before you know it you’ve spent £12 on 8 boxes of party food.

So………. Next day had to go to Argos to buy two booster seats for granddaughters visit and think hmmmm Iceland is on the way home, haven’t been there for years but some of the stuff they advertise on tele looks ok, I’m not like gam and NS I’m not keen on prawn rings but I might just pop in for a look.

Enters the shop and there seems to be quite a crowd round one of the freezers so that has to be my first call. As I try to get a look in some ignorant bloke elbows me out of the way without a word of apology then I realise why ! PARTY FOOD WAS £2 NOW ONLY £1 !

Garlic Breaded Mushrooms (well Tesco didn’t have them) Sticky Barbeque Ribs (they didn’t have those either) mmm more prawns coated with some breaded shyte (but then I do like those and they are only a £1 so four of those) Oh and some frozen chocolate Belgium thingies bet the grandkids would love those!

Another ten quid spent on ‘PARTY FOOD’ for the party I’m never going to have !

    What a sucker!

Is it because the fridge is full of 3 for 2 Waitrose pasta meals?

i downsized my fridge freezer last year as it’s usually just the two of us in the house…….the new fridge is a bit smaller than the last and the freezer is a very small 41litres……..it took us 4 weeks to eat the stock in the old freezer which was good for the shopping bills but also showed how we stocked up way too much on un-neccessary food……now we buy just what we want for the week, with only a couple of meat packs for reserve……..best thing i ever did buying smaller.
