3-4 months?? Where do you get your turkeys from then? The ones I get from tescos will last until next Christmas. It says so on the packet so it must be true.
And I will not get food poisoning either. I shall be flapping about like I normally am as happy as a pig in doo dab. And if I do get poorly I shall blame you entirely and ring you up on Christmas day, so ner.

If you simply have to scoff this tasteless meat, then at least get a quality one…… not some cheap and nasty old bird from bloody Tesco ffs!!!
The only thing that’s tougher than Tesco meat is Tesco shop assistants.
You’d be far better off buying a Gressingham duck and roasting that for Christmas (I did). Nice tasty meat; complimented by orange sauce with just a touch of added Grand Marnier or Cointreau; roast potatoes and of course seasonal Brussels sprouts. Mmmmmm yummy!!!
BTW don’t mention eating ducks to ForumHostGM or she’ll climb on her broomstick and plague you.

20 January, 2009 at 6:43 pm #388039Turkey is available all year round anyway, so it’s not all that special anymore. Shops are only shut for a couple of days, so no need to do that big Christmas shop that used to be necessary a few years ago.
