There is no evidence of an increace in hate crimes, at most there is a slight increase in reports (that doesn’t mean they actually happened) and new things being classified as hate crimes that prevously weren’t reported as hate crimes. I’m sure it happens here too, but its hard to find examples of because nobody talks about it. The US news doesn’t report on it either, i’m only aware of it because of independent people on the internet.
