I’m back from me hols, whats the goss?
I had a week longer in Turkey than I was supposed to have, I fell on my last night, down a load of wet marble steps, broke my Sacrum and tail bone. Spent a week flat on my back in hospital, insurance folk were being a bunch of tw@ts and was trying to get out of paying for the stay at hospital and the stretcher flights home. Had to fly from Antalya to Istanbul, from there to Heathrow, from there to our house in an ambulance. Spent 17 hours traveling yesterday and my poor daughter ended up vomiting.
So, that’s me and my exciting life  Whats been going on here then?
must be sumthing to do with Turkey Dawny thats where I broke me coxtail… slipped on the wet floor went down 30 stairs..!! and it was marble also..!! hope ur ok, rem that takes ages to heal, plus as shaZZa said, after mths even yrs it can still play up.. howZ the mum-to-be btw..??

Im reading the Garden of Beasts, nothing to do with linc, but apparantly there is a neat crossover somewhere in the book. I probably wont spot it, as this is the first one Ive read. Its set in 1936, this american hit-man called Paul is given two options, stay in America and face jail or go to Germany (Berlin) and do what he does best… take people out. Its very very fast paced, running from SS, Nazi’s, grasses, and even though you shouldnt really want him to get away, because of his job of killing people, you actually do in this story.
The descriptions of pre 2nd world war Germany are fantastic, from the beer and food they drink, to the length of the women’s skirts.
Loving it. I needed something to fill me in whilst awaiting Michael Connolly’s next book, and this is just the thing.
I once e-mailed Keith Ablow, before he was a tv star, his books are the most graphic Ive ever read and he mailed me back too. I wish he had stuck to fiction instead of becoming another american tv psyche.
im reading the coffin dancer, got the garden of beasts, will read that next… but loving the linc series so much lol..
30 July, 2008 at 6:23 pm #357950pre-school as in nursery..?? my oldest now 10 was in from 16mths old as i worked, was in full-time until school age, then started school and finished 12.. to break them in..!! she loved nursery… my funny was when us parents had to go to school, the headteacher asked if there were any q’s we wanted answered. i stuck my hand up and said ‘ when they in til 3pm’ to a gash of sighs fae others mothers, i was like… well i work full-time..!! lol
now Alfie he’s been in nursery since he was 18mths, now 3 and loves it, he’s goin in full-time soon, as his nursery teachers say by the way he is going he could possible get into school early as he can count up to 100, add up, write his name and address, his sisters name, knows all his clours , shades and shapes… certainly got his brains fae my bro..!! mind u my lass is a wee brainy lass also… and ere’s me dislexic as lol i get red faced when my daughter corrects me lol…AW, maybe u’ve sheltered him but he’ll love it, and as said the people whom do this job ( SAINTS I SAY lol ) know how to distract and settle them, u’ll be the 1 in tears lol.. mind u I had the flags oot lol…

29 July, 2008 at 8:19 am #192534Book review of The Broken Window…
Linc Rhyme is wrapped up in a transatlanic case when he gets an unwelcome phone call: his cousin Art had been arrested for 1st degree murder. All the evidence says he did it. And this much evidence can’t be wrong.
Or can it..?? As linc and Sachs investigate, they find a spiders web of crime woven by the most insidious killer they have ever encountered. A man obseessed with collectinng- from junk on the street to intimate details about his victims, to the ulitmate trophy; human lives themselves. This is a man who tortures and murders, a man profiicent with raZors and guns, but whose most dangerous weapon is information.
Information he obessively culls from the corporate and goverment databases which contain every single aspect of our lives.
Information he wields with ruthless precision againest those he targets… and againest those who try to stop him…!!
rem you have to read The Cold Moon before you read this book…!!!1
