as you can see Avira comes out top, which is one of the reasons I always recommend it, also it is fast loading and uses hardly any resources so doesn’t slow your pc down + most important it wont break the bank, also the they do a free version, but this is just a antivirus so will not stop spyware, adware etc21 October, 2008 at 6:45 pm #380558As a follow up to my previous post I thought this might interest all, it’s a full independant test of the top anti viruses

This “nasty” is easily picked up from P2P sites like LimeWire etc because too many people do not have adequate protection.
How to get rid of it
One of the easiest ways is to go to http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/tools/security_tools/housecall and run the free online scan, this will get rid of any “viruses” etc.
Next download the best antivirus I have found
 ( http://www.avira.com/en/pages/index.php)
it will only cost £26.95 (39.95 euros) and is a complete security suite in that it fully protects your comp ( if you cant afford the full version at least download the free version)
If you do go with Avira make sure you uninstall any other antivirus
Next download a peice of software called CCleaner http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ it’s free and will keep your computer running smoothly by removing up any hidden crap in your temp files, cache, etcHope this helps PS get rid of LimeWire etc if I had my way I would have all P2P sites closed down this is how 99% of all “viruses” spread,
