Raise your hands if before this event you knew the plight of the people in Malawi. Her fame and adoption of a young boy has people talking and has brought attention to the sadness of the orphanages in Africa. In Malawi, there is no waiting list to adopt a child because at least a million children there need homes. So, all these childless people who want a baby and don’t want to jump thru hoops can and should do what Madonna has done. It’s easy for people to shake their head and stand in judgment of her, but at least she can give this child a chance in life. This baby will literally survive because of her – That should stand for something.

Well, my soul is not for sale FYI. However, at least this little guy will have a chance in life and at life. Disease and death are rampant in Africa and the boy’s father GAVE him to the orphanage. Should we also discriminate against Madonna for having money? This child will get education, health care and every need met. It’s a shame that this child’s mother died. But, I know that if I were in the situation, I would want my child to be given every opportunity, which Madonna will be able to provide. Madonna didn’t just go this man’s house and say she wanted to buy his baby. She went to an orphanage and fell in love with a child who needed help. I don’t agree with Madonna on a hell of a lot of things, but I do think that her heart is in the right place.
