Again, it may take several years, however the majority of American people will come to the realisation eventually of the reasons behind this war and demand action. It just seems to take several years before they realise they are being brainwashed.

The result of invading the wrong country has been tens of thousands of angry young new recruits for Al Queda. The next generation of Al Queda Terrorist is here, and the US and UK have created this situation by their illegal invasion of Iraq.
:-k I just find it interesting that American’s are referred to as being “Brainwashed” and Al Queda terrorists are referred to as “New Recruits”. Certainly there is nothing brainwashed about them (sarcasm).
Geoff – American’s are not brainwashed – Just look at the polls ffs. A whole lot of people here don’t like Bush or what he’s done. You’re just lucky enough to run into me, an American who supports the president.
Yes maybe we did go into Iraq without the U.N’s Blessings. But, if some crazy bas tards attacked my family or me, rest assured I wouldn’t go and get my parents permission to fight back.
14 September, 2006 at 2:53 pm #38073Well my husband pis sed me off this morning and I’m having trouble getting out of the mood. It’s so unfair when he starts a fight just as he leaves for work. Then I just have to stew about it until he gets home.
14 September, 2006 at 2:44 pm #241160Geoff – Let’s just be thankful that you live where you do and I live where I do. Instead of criticizing our politics, criticize your own country for standing beside us in this fight. No country is safe with these radicals running around. Not my country and not your own country. So do you feel we should just coward away from them? We went into Iraq after 9/11 because it posed a threat. Iraq was and is breeding Islamic Fascism. It needs to stop. It’s dangerous to the world.
Cas – A memorial is in the works of being set up. But just because we don’t have statues in place doesn’t mean there isn’t a memorial. I’m certain that not one American can look at the New York skyline without getting emotional over what happened. The ghost of the World Trade Centers will always be there. Tons of e-mails and television broadcasts have been dedicated to the tragic loss. This is one that I was sent on 9/11 this year

No matter what is thought of Americans and their policies and politics – It’s a human tragedy. Al Queda went after the innocent not our military. They are crazy and need to be stopped. I’m glad we’re not cowarding away.
12 September, 2006 at 7:37 pm #241153I know a lot of things that our president doesn’t.
As for 911 being the reason to settle family scores – Please tell me you’re joking. This isn’t grammar school. And let me know when it starts raining chocolate over in Europe so I can so I can fill my little pool up when it hits over here. :roll:Ok as for Geoff – I appreciate the light reading and everything  , but no matter how many opinions there are against the war, there are just as many for the war. A member of a JC thread will not change my opinion and my support of our president. That’s the fabulous world we live in – everyone’s entitled to his or her opinion. But these terrorists scare the living cra p out of me. I’m glad that we’re not cowarding away from the fight they brought to us 5 years ago.
12 September, 2006 at 4:40 pm #241151Saddam was not called the Butcher of Baghdad for nothing. First of all he wasn’t letting us into his country to see for ourselves if he had WMD’s and he had used chemical weapons on his own people. With his capability, and his insanity in my opinion, and LINKS to Al Qeada, he could arm the terrorists with WMD’s. I’m still certain that those WMD will be found. We gave him enough time to hide them pretty well.
12 September, 2006 at 3:24 pm #241149FYI – Al Qeada is not the one and only terrorist group.
12 September, 2006 at 3:20 pm #241148Are you honestly saying that you don’t think Saddam and Iraq have or had anything to do with terrorism? If you do believe that – I guess that’s where we differ.
12 September, 2006 at 3:06 pm #241146FYI Doa – There were almost 3,000 killed on 911. And just so nothing is misunderstood, yes, Americans are also dying in this war. But we don’t run and hide from people who are threatening our safety. If we just let terrorism flourish, what do you think the world is going to be like in 15 years? Let them do what they want and hope you’re not there when they decide to prove another point? Nothing worth doing is ever easy.

Really makes ya wonder on this day who the good guys and the bad guys really are.
Well, since you have the word Bad in your user name – I’ll consider you that.
I have American in mine, so I guess that makes me the good one. O:)12 September, 2006 at 1:27 pm #38072@Captain Charisma wrote:
