If you have never dealt with, been touched by or been around someone with a drug, drink or substance abuse problem, then the easiest thing to say, is that they should realise what they are doing to themself and stop. That they are wasting a life and a god given talent, that they are a waste of time, space and air.
When you have lived life a little further and know that those same abuse and substance problems, know no boundaries, they know “types” of people and know nothing of personalities, then you truly realise it is not a choice, but a dependence that you find yourself in.
If you are truly lucky enough to never have been touched by drugs, addiction and death due to that, then blessed are you. But if you have not been, then you can never understand the reasons, why people turn to legal and illegal substances to get through, a day, a week or a life time.
So to never have involvement or contact, with someone who has had an abuse problem, then to say, someone who has died due to one, has wasted there life, there talent and was a waste of breath. Simply shows the person saying so as naive, ignorant and arrogant.
RIP AMY, a truly troubled soul and the why, we will only know well into the future.
