    Yourchoice,

If they are home every weekend, as you state, they are hardly posted in country are they?? Besides squaddies are generally the biggest bullies in town, they are generally the most uneducated, over testosteroned muppets in the service. The army wont even post them, hence they go looking for “fun” else where. Most of your average members, who have seen a tour, know enough, have seen enough, to not go looking for trouble any where in the civillian world.

Unlike many of your fellow posters I do have enough respect for those that I know to ask permission prior to revealing details. However everything stated was in one for more another a matter of public record, any of you, who knew “searing” would have been able to verify or find such information. But there in lies the conundrum, doesn’t it, none of you knew “searing”. Now in regard to your reply dear. Point one I never called “searing” a hero. But your very open admission saying that “you cant all be hero’s”. Its a real shame that your families, siblings, children and friends do not in your own admission, see you as a hero. Because simply they are the only ones who matter. The opinion of others no matter how obnoxious is irrelevant, compared to those listed above.

Maybe you lack of self esteem, can be brought back to this simple thing, lacking in your surroundings. Maybe that is what leads you to post on another thread, in anger or frustration @ how people perceive your employment status. Again, why would it matter what anyone else thinks. At some stage (by your age, most others already have done so, in my experience) you will realise that being a bully, being the one that attempts to laud your education over others, being a member of the group with the loudest vice, only makes you seem even more shallow and less like the heroin (you crave to be) each and every day.

Be well and good luck with your future.

Panty bunch boy (you get the same posting space, because your not worth your own)

With the speed that you proved yourself a coward, at my initial offer of a face to face meeting, i am unsuprised that you are still sniping around the ether of the boards. Never brave enough to put your head up and make a meaning post for yourself. You prefer the gutless approach of trying to bully/belittle women/children or those you see as easy targets. As the big brave man the boards let you be.

I do understand it is a difficult concept for a keyboard warrior such as yourself, to comprehend. But we do actually get “down” and “leave” time. At these times, we are actually allowed to access the internet, leave the country, email, make calls, have the odd beer, shower, eat and even watch football. If you ever took notice of anything outside your own little fiefdom and bully boy zone, you could turn on the moving picture box in the corner, follow the real world events, first hand. Rather than peeking between your fingers at the screen or in your case more likely, twitching the net curtaining.

ruby, as ive always regarded you as pleasant, if a little radical, i will answer with a polite no………

with the addendeum to the small minded bullies and cowards contained in these boards, who could well decide that I am. However to the people on chat who know, are the only ones whom matter.

Just so there can be nose’s dislocated, as is so easily done in here. Andrew wanted to let it be known, that the donation made via the link provided was not made by himself. He asked Ht, for a direct way to contribute, with out the third party fees, and has done so through such avenue.

The boards will die through censorship and dictatorship of a small band of fools and management. It will not be through natural attrition. However when management choose to stop freedom of expression, simply because it is in contrast to a certain group of trained “monkey’s” then, there is no point in expressing anything rather than a yes mam, no sir attitude.

While those of the ilk of bunch panties, can bait people, Miss Curtain can encourage suicide, and others go on with there higher than thou attitudes and posts, people who express a differing opinion get banned.

A small insight for the majority of you. Searing, the poster you lambasted, then banned yesterday. Forty two year old male. Sixteen years in the British Army, lost both legs below the knee in Afghanistan, medical discharge. Could well be sitting around on a pension right now. But chooses to work as a fully trained paramedic, for his local Ambulance service.

He in his every day life, does more to help others, than any of you, on your one of walks or sponsorships. He raises funds and society awareness for those who have lost limbs or been disabled through military conflict and will continue to do so.

Although his wife, left him, took his kids, while he was in hospital recovering from his own injuries, he continues to support his children fully and completely.

When you stop the democratic process of freedom of speech, then you break the fundamental rights of any and every individual. I read the postings on the thread yesterday, although challenging many, he was not the one throwing in insults and swearing, I am left to wonder, how many of those other posters, were banned and deleted.

Two soldiers who dived into a freezing canal to rescue a comrade after he was blown up by a Taliban bomb have been awarded the Queen’s Commendation for Bravery.
Second Lieutenant Connor Maxwell, 22, and Rifleman Daniel Nickson, 23, both of 3rd Battalion the Rifles, pulled the unconscious soldier out of the 3ft deep water and evacuated him so he could receive medical treatment.
Rfn Nickson, from Darlington, County Durham, was hailed for his “courage and selflessness” in risking his own life by leaping into the fast-flowing canal in Helmand on December 15 last year.
Lt Maxwell, from Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire, was also praised for saving the life of a serviceman who was wounded by an improvised explosive device (IED) during training on the firing ranges at Camp Bastion, the main Nato base in Helmand.
A total of 131 servicemen and women – most of whom served in 11 Light Brigade’s bloody tour of Afghanistan between October 2009 and April this year – were awarded medals in the latest military honours list, nine posthumously.
Acting Corporal Andrew Wardle, 22, of 2nd Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment, receives the Military Cross for his bravery during his tour of Helmand mentoring Afghan soldiers.
Warrant Officer Class 2 Patrick Hyde, 34, of 4th Battalion the Rifles, is awarded a Mention in Despatches for his “exemplary gallantry”.

Just a sample of a story published September this year in the British press. You will note that military personnel rarely use the term hero or heroic to describe there actions. They are labels left to society, a society that like to label things. A society that needs it labels to be as politically correct and headline grabbing as possible.

Your television channels, your radio stations, your print media, label people who consider themselves as simply doing there job as hero’s. It is not the choice of the people involved. To be perfectly honest, until those in the “field” are made aware by the same media, management or family of what is being said at home, they would have little to no idea.

In military terms there are very few military hero’s, it is more of a American term, a sensationalism.

Hero is a very personal word, a very personal choice. In a military conflict there are hero’s on both sides, however both sides will disagree about that very same event. Hopefully each and every one of you have your own hero’s you don’t have to rely on others.

But to those families who have sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, serving all over the globe, in British uniforms, I am sure they consider those family members hero’s. Which of course is there personal choice.

With this being my last post, as I head to Afghanistan tomorrow. I wish you and all your hero’s a very merry, happy and healthy Christmas, no matter what race, religion, creed or denomination, they may fall into.

Not even a new thought, entering that indoctrinated head of yours, no real suprise there, with the amount of drugs……… Oh and racist is the best you have……… Like i said Jan 29th, I will see you right there, big man.

    rac·ism (rszm)
    n.
    1. The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.
    2. Discrimination or prejudice based on race

At no stage have i done the above, I may have commented on your rather sketchy religion and faith……… Your race, never, because as you like to state when it suits you, YOUR ENGLISH.[/b]

So your prepared to enjoy the freedom, those wasted souls fought and fight for, yet your prepared to denigrate them in the next breath. Your prepared to support your black dog muslim brethren as they kill and mame exactly those same souls. Yet your ready to draw down the benefits, welfare and social that those very souls provide for you by paying there taxes while they give you the freedom with which you preach.

You sound upset lunatic board stalker, things getting to much for you. Chin up sweetheart, it only gets worse from ere….
