Sadly im inclined to agree with you
But some people just cant help themselfs and feel the need tomake stupid comment on threads they dont have to post on they could say for instance start there own threads to have a go
and leave the people who are enjoying a thread to enjoy it in peace
maybe we all need to think before hitting the submit button if are comments are going to enhance a thread or turn it into a free for all

i have started to refrain from posting on certain threads for that reason just lately which is a shame because the threads are getting less and less i feel i can comment on
