Yes William it is Irish/Celtic folklore. Ok get this ..I was born in Georgia, I am a southern girl, imagine “Gone With The Wind” Scarlett. I have the accent and everything. Then my ancestors are Irish I grew up with the celtic lore. That’s why I have many faerie, and imp and leprechaun poems, etc. That’s a little background information on me!
William this is truly horrible. This happens a lot in the US big time athletes and celebrities get accused of wrongful things just for their money! Some people are just plain mean, but in the end they get it!
Favorite Song and Why..
Gypsy by Stevie Nicks. I just love her and all her songs are great to me!!
So I’m back to the velvet underground,
back to the floor that I love,
to a room with some lace and paper flowers,
Back to the gypsy that I was,
to the gypsy that I was,
doo, doo, doo, doo.
And it all comes down to you.
Well, you know that it does.
Well, lightning strikes, maybe once, maybe twice.
Ah, and it lights up the night.
And you see your gypsy, you see your gypsy.
To the gypsy that remains,
who faces freedom with a little fear,
I have no fear,
I have only love.
And if I was a child,
and the child was enough,
enough for me to love,
enough to love.
She is dancing away from me now.
She was just a wish,
she was just a wish,
And a memory is all that is left for you now.
You see your gypsy, oh,
you see your gypsy, ooh,
ah.you see your gypsy, you see your gypsy.
I like the way you narrated the poem as if the tree was speaking, nice touch, and the pictures of the trees bring a little life to your poem. I can see you put some time in displaying this poem, and I like that in a poet.
