I use the home computer for more than just web sites.
The home and office security systems are all accessible by Internet.
If an alarm goes off I can log in and look at the 12 security web cams, without getting out of bed at 3am and if necessary call the police or turn off the alarm.
I have the same system at home too, so can look round the house and garden anytime.
Unlike most people I turn on the heating from the Internet and a few more things too.
I do use the house has a “test platform” for anything we are thinking about installing or selling.
But the main use if for “job tracking” and online fault finding using the drain cams, there are times when engineers have a problem that need a second look by someone with more experience.
And sometimes for boilers too that need a second look, mostly the older ones. Its faster for us to get a part number and a picture and then get someone in the office to search for it, than have a engineer waste time on it.
So I do need some powerful computers for it and I do take a great deal of interest in there components.
I have watch for many years as computers moved from being an office tool to a games platform to a total home entertainment system.
If your only using computer for games or internet, you only need a “toy” one, but if you’re the kind of person who see computers has more than a “word processor”, you’re better off buying something better and exploring it.
A good nights sleep, shouldnt you buy a bed for that?
Get in there, nail the back end out of it, move on to the next job :P

Good ram starts at £150 per gb,
I am running CORSAIR PC3-10666 XMS3 DHX Xtreme Performance 4×1024 MB DDR 3 SDRAM PC Memory now.
Its much better.
Cheaper modules they maybe, but i was taking into consideration i don’t know your finiancial situation and was trying to keep the costs down, i think for the type of system you may want, you are going to have to custom build.
But is it really worth spending a few grand just to post on the msg boards :shock:
Well you sound pretty interested in this person, and knowing people you are most likely both in the same boat.
You are wondering about her, and if you had a glass of wine etc together she must of thought you was alright,(or maybe a p!ss head on the job and thought i’ll be nice so i don’t have an electrical fire and my house burn down lol) and i would imagine giving you a thought or 7 also.Now most people seem to think, well they have got my number they can call me if they was interested, but forget the other person is probly thinking the same thing and nothing happens cos both people think the other person can’t of been interested or they would of called.
The dog that i am, i would make an excuse to go round there, you was in the area and you think you may of left a tool there and did she find anything after you left, if that tactic dont get you in the door try, well you know we had a few drinks the other day do you mind if i take a quick look to make sure everything is in order (although that might make you sound a cowboy and paranoid you did a sh!t job in the first place lol).
I think from her first reaction when she opens the door and the look on her face will tell you if it was worth going back and if there is anything worth pursuing.
And if you think there might be something there, and she didnt find the tool you left :twisted: , say you know we had a lovely chin wag the other day, its nice to meet someone like that blah blah fancy going out for a drink sometime, and hey presto!All the best humpings

That’s a good point Bat, it appears that you can still buy them with XP on, but the spec’s are not that high as of the latest laptops. I think they want to force everyone to use Vista.
Not an ideal situation, but you could buy a laptop with Vista on and then put XP on it.

Ok it’s going to cost you a pretty penny, but it would take some beating if you built a system around that.

Makes you wonder why it has taken so long for this information to come out, maddie went missing in May if i remember correctly?…to me it seems a desperate attempt to take the focus off the parents, so they invent this.
Of course i could be totally wrong and i havent followed the story closely cos frankly so bored of hearing about it, but you would think this would of come out before if the was any actual event like this had of taken place, and its the first ive heard about it.

Well i hope its not on a monday cos i have violin practise, on tuesday’s i play badmington, wednesday’s im coaching the girls hockey team, thursday’s i do voluntary work with the elderly and general help in the community, friday’s im drunk, saturday’s im doing a “wobble dance” with scousers, and sunday’s i go to church and cut the lawn. So im afraid i wont be able to attend, i hope you have a lovely day and all goes well.
Let’s hope the vicar dont do a “brb” when its time to join you together, or even worse a “LOL”.
