or again right click on the file you wish to play, go to properties, then click on *change* tab, select the player you want.
When it can’t play the files, does it ask you to choose an application to open it with?
Or try right clicking on the file you wish to play, and click *open with* select the desired media player you with to play it with, worth a try.
