Some of Icke’s idea seem very whacky to me. A lot of conspiracy stuff, and stuff about reptilian aliens. I cant imagine any of his ideas are taken seriously by the mainstream.

It appears the dust has settled….over 100 replies in this post and they are largely taken up with the subject of evolution together with science of one sort or another, it also appears we have very few faithful here or perhaps for one reason or another they choose not to give response….. It would seem that any serious debate relating to faith, religion and evolution cannot advance at all as generally speaking, it tends to reduce to offence and insult…
My own personal view as an agnostic is that whatever the scientific outcomes of evolution and abiogenesis etc provide, i hold to the view that the very first element, be it vapour, gas, matter inanimate or animate…..it had to be created…the incredible diversity in molecular structure together with DNA and its combination and set motions lead me to believe that this was no act of chance…the main religions describe to an extent some of this in their contents and this provides the basis for the faithful….i have also noticed large amounts of people who continue to claim to be part of a faith yet cannot follow the scriptures of that faith, these people i would put in the same catergory as the hypocrite.
Their can be no ` sitting on the fence ` in my opinion, you either hold to your beliefs and practice them as they are set out or….. give yourself the title of the agnostic…If you believe that the first element had to be created, then I think it follows on that you also have to believe that the entity who created the element had to be created. It’s the old chicken and egg thing again, but I still think it’s an important point.
A lot of people would also say that DNA is just the result of natural selection acting upon random mutations, and that no intellegence is therefore required for it.11 February, 2010 at 8:44 am #431028@pete wrote:

Frankly I dont care if you’ve got a science degree Pete. If you’re only gonna use to sit on the goddam fence then it dosent really impress me, and what’s the point in it in that case?
You might think it’s noble to respect all opinions, but I dont. I’ve got my opinion, and if anyone gives me any solid evidence to retract my opinion, I’ll think about retracting it ok? My opinion is not set where evidence is concerned, but I know what I believe.
And if anyone doesnt share the same views well you damn well wont listen to their side and if they supply you solid evidence you’ll think of retracting it.. thats big of you… go fuck yourself. Unlike you i dont claim to know what i cant possibly know with 100% certainty. Nobility has nothing to do with it and for the last time i am not interested in a debate where the other party is a fool which you clearly are. You’re far better off getting pissed and pleading for peoples phone numbers, ok it’s another pass time you wont succeed at but its way better than being a bigot
Bigot? Who am I a “bigot” towards? I havent claimed anywhere that im 100% certain about anything, perhaps you could point me towards where I’ve ever said that, and if someone’s got another opinion to mine I’ll certainly listen to it.
Keep saying these silly lies though, If it makes you feel better.
10 February, 2010 at 12:46 pm #431016Tbh I cant remember writing half of this. A bit of drunken tomfoolery.

I also mentioned my grandmother maybe you’d like to mock her but i wouldnt fucking recommend itPete, if when the arguement goes against you say “lalalala” im not listening or im not interested, and bring up your gradmother, then ive overestimated you.
I dont give a flying fuc.k about your Grandmother mate ok, and you bringing her into your “argument” is ludicrious.9 February, 2010 at 11:56 pm #431000So youre point was really ill thought out? Im still laughing at you Pete, and it’s not totally at you, well it is a bit cause you make me laugh, but also because as an “agnostic” you think these b/s commandements make you a better person or make you do something you actually wouldn’t do, hence your ludicrous Cliff Richard/Myra Hindley nonsense.

Cliff Richard might be Pete’s hero, and Pete might like to dance to Summer Holiday, and congratulations.
According to Pete Myra Hyndley might be the atheists hero who we worship, since we dont have the ten commandments to tell us not to kill or to be morally correct like the christians have, and since we dont have the ten commandments, were gonna indulge in a frenzied killing spree like Miss Hyndley.and i put forward your post as proof positive that you are both a tit and an idiot who resorts to childish statements cause the nasty man wont agree with him
To be serious for a minute amongst your silliness Pete. Cliff Richard is a born again christian who wouldn’t hurt a fly, which is nice. Myra Hindley is a mass murderess who would hurt a fly. Wtf has got to do with anything? If Cliff wanted to murder anyone would his christian beliefs stop him? I doubt it. Most of the people on death row are christians.
What are you saying here? That if Myra Hindley had been brainwashed by christianity in her youth she’d have been ok and she wouldn’t have been been a murderess? I think you should expand on your point here Pete. -
