Still no sign of an arrest PB. No evidence has been forthcoming either. Or maybe I’ve missed the evidence. Just a load of wild rumours, wild stories and wild guesswork.
The only one we havent heard is that the McCanns were in cahoots with the Child Catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Well of course I can smell a rat fasty. She refused to answer 40 questions……why? Allegedly, the McCanns are totally innocent and have “nothing to hide”. Any claims made against them by anyone are “ludicrous”, so, bearing all that in mind, why didn,t she answer the questions? She,s totally innocent………….isn,t she?

This whole case is unnamed sources. The Portugese Police cant comment on it officially.Yes this may be so … when there are no ”official” releases of information then the Press get digging and glean any titbit they can from ”unnamed sources”. I guess that this is one of the less pleasant spin offs from the Portuguese secrecy laws.
But overall what is most interesting is how the Media have totally changed their stories. Initially and for many many weeks it was poor McCanns – abducted daughter – mass appeals for her to be found etc etc.
Look at the Media now and it is all focussed on the possibility that they did it themselves – no more poor old McCanns.
Thing is that the reporters usually know a whole lot more than they can actually publish (for fear of libel or defamation) – so they go round a subject and hint rather than state.
My feeling still is that the Media ”know” a lot more than they are prepared to publish right now and any residual doubts that I may have had have long since vanished.
I think that the pair of them have manipulated the Media and the public in general for their own ends and the revenge of the Media when it comes is going to be something to behold.
Maybe Reporters do know more than they publish.
You can be sure though that after the Dust settles on this case, that a good percentage of the stuff that’s been written will turn out to be false, misleading innuendo, and misinformation.
Some of it has already been shown to be that.Im not gonna to buy unnamed sources in dubious French Newspapers as fact.

Afraid not PB. :roll: In case you werent aware of this fact I’ll let you in on it. Yes amazingly somone in our Judicial System is innocent until proven guilty, even when they’ve charged. Plenty of people that have been charged (which the McCanns havent) and tried, have been found not guilty.

These Portugese Secrecy Laws are a bit of a joke aint they? Within 2 mins of Kate McCann’s Diary being read, its private contents are being passed to one of their contacts, and passed into the Public Domain for gossips everywhere to ooo and aaahh over whilst they have there Corn Flakes.
This isnt Dodge City, and the Cops arent Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday.
I would say that if anything less than a Gun was being pointed in their direction, then a few questions are gonna be asked.
