What made you start again BM. 6 weeks was the longest i lasted before, this time it was a proper health scare made me stop.
Thing is the stress that took me from 20 to 40 a day is still sorta there and i find most days at some point i want a cigarette though i get through it though some days are worse than others but after 10 month i’m getting sick of wanting to light up even. Strangely sitting at my computer (cue a smart arsed comment from someone) I used to chain smoke, now that doesnt bother me, ditto when i drink seems to be when i have time to think i find myself craving more.
First couple of times I started again I thought could keep it to a few a day. Kinda like an Alchoholic thinking they can take a Glass of Wine and leave it at that. Last time I started was just momentary lunacy.
Only hesistating to stop again now because I wanna be 100 precent sure in my mind that I can lock it up for good this time.1 October, 2008 at 7:31 pm #375896Im the exact opposite. I cant remember the last Cig I actually enjoyed. In fact I fecking hate em. The routine’s got me again though for the moment at least.
1 October, 2008 at 7:23 pm #376891Well, the wee Boys starting to get on my nerves now, and so is the advert.
1 October, 2008 at 6:36 pm #375892Im not 100 percent sure but I think Butterfly had something wrong with her that Smoking made far worse.
1 October, 2008 at 5:24 pm #375886It’s the stop-start that’s buggered my confidence up.
I managed to stop for a year and a half. Then started again for a year. Stopped again for 6 months, started again for a year, stopped again for a year and a half, then started again 2 months ago at a bad time.
Ready to get off them again now, but gotta get it into my mind that this time it’s gonna have to be for good, and Pandora’s Box can never be opened again.30 September, 2008 at 3:01 pm #376875Almost brought a Tear to my Glass Eye.

The UK will next week become the first European country to introduce graphic images on cigarette packets to warn about the dangers of smoking.
The 15 different images will include pictures of a diseased lung and heart surgery being performed.
They will start to be introduced on 1 October, but it will be another year before all packets contain them as existing stock will have to be sold.
Will it make any difference ?No, it won’t make the slightest difference. Smokers will only learn when it is too late because most are very stubborn and ignorant.
Your intelligence level never starts to amaze me.
If Smokers wanna smoke let em smoke. They give huge amounts of revenue to the Country.
Stopping smoking is harder than kicking Heroin. It aint an easy thing to do.You talk as if you know me, but you don’t so you do not need to comment on my intelligence. I am entitled to my opinion like everybody else, and if smoking is harder than kicking heroin so what? You shouldn’t have started in the first place. Congratulations on bringing in alot of the governments income, but then again it’s the tax payers who suffer when your dying in hospital. Oh and another thing I never once said smokers cannot smoke, let them by all means.
All I said in my last post was that pictures on cigarette packet will not make the slightest difference, but you obviously missed my point.I’d go for Kate if her character WishFairy hadnt already posted that she was a Smoker. Hmmm, I’ll go for Kate anyway using one of her other characters to post an opposing viewpoint. :D
