Course he should go. The whole history of our royal family is about their blue blood being at the front of our armies. What’s the point of giving him military experience if it’s just a token gesture? If our services in Iraq aren’t good enough to protect him and his what the hell are they doing in that dangerous place, shouldn’t they be back protecting the palace?

Trouble is you can’t believe any of the statements because of PR and Spin. The whole fracas could be manufactured. If you wanted him to look the part but not endanger him then just have him threaten to resign and then make it look like he was ordered not to go. Let’s be honest, he’d be loony to want to go out there if he was penniless, let alone as a superstar playboy…
