Most muslims in England support their brothers and sisters, dogs and cats in those nations.
I think you’ll find that muslims consider dogs as ‘unclean’ and tend not to keep them as pets.
Hizbollah is claimed to be virtually an Iranian ‘foreign legion’, composed of shia muslims.
Hamas, in the coccupied Palestinian territories, is aligned with Al Qaeda sunni extermists.In Iraq, Iranian-backed shia militias and ‘Al Qaeda in Iraq’ are slaughering each other.
That might be a clue to the next big clash in the Middle East.I think there are too many countries that simply don’t wish to get involved for WW3 to be imminent. But over the longer term – say 5-10 years, who knows?
If George Dubya and Tony Blair weren’t running under the Christian banner, I’d be more than happy with a full-scale war on Muslem fundamentalists.

I’m not really a socialist, but I could adapt! As natural resources diminish and the energy gap grows, the demand-led economy will inevitably give way to a supply-led economy.
I’m not really talking about a political party like in the USSR etc so much as a social movement that does the job of a modern religion without resorting to fairy tales, superstition and promises of unverifiable and highly improbable rewards.
I’ve been looking at websites of various British fringe political parties ranging from far-left to far-right. Together with the big parties, nobody seems to be offereing a proper philosophy on how to deal with the threats that face us.
The far left have got into bed with islamic fundamentalists and focus their hatred on Bush, Blair and Israel while ignoring Al Qaeda, Iran etc.
The far right go for Blair too because he’s perceived as a PC loony leftist, although he’s about as left-wing as Margaret Thatcher was!
I think there is a yawning chasm, a crying need, for a ‘new-left’ movement throughout Europe that fights its own corner and does not cow-tow to either the USA or the demands of the two emerging islamic empires, a shia one driven by Iran and the other a wahabbi sunni one driven by Al Qaeda.
We need a new creed of humanist, humanitarian socialism that will take on anyone, be they islamic hate preachers, Christians with their symbolic human sacrifice called ‘holy communion’, big corporations, nasty celebrities, the monarchies of Europe or whoever.
People warned Israel and the USA that if they didn’t support the moderates in Fatah then the hardliners would take over. Did they listen? No. People are now warning Israel and America that if they don’t support the moderate regime in Beirut then the government will collapse and the hardliners will take over. Are they listening now? No.
The way I see it, the hardliners are taking over anyway. Their agenda is independent of anything that the west or Israel do. Yes, they can tailor responses to cynically heap blame on us, like with the 7/7 London bombings. But such acts were on the cards anyway, they were the whole raison d’etre of the Al Qaeda training camps in Afghanistan that operated through the 1990’s, culminating in 9/11/2001 and the resulting invasion of Afghanistan.
These terrorists know how to commit outrages that wrongfoot the west, forcing western governments to make unpopular decisions.
Most of the badgers we see round here are roadkill, or possibly “roadkill” thrown out of vehicles by illegal badger baters to launder the evidence.
Badgers themselves are not very nice animals – vicious biters. Some people have tamed them as pets though.
Israel needs to sit down with the arabs and hammer out a comprehensive deal to resolve all outstanding issues and finally bring about an end to this conflict. There is no alternative to a negotiated settlement. There is no military solution to this conflict.
I don’t think Hamas, Hizbullah, Al Qaeda or Mahmoud Ahmadinejad would even consider negotiations with Israel even if it offered to give up all its territory! Not even if every last Jew offered to drown themselves in the Med would the jihadists sit down and negotiate.
So was Britain’s declaration of war on Germany in 1939 a war crime? Did Londoners blame Chamberlain and then Churchill for the German bombs that rained down on their city?
