I wouldn’t say it was selfish Kenty. I can’t even begin to imagine how worrying it must be for you and the rest of his family. I hope he comes back safe and well to you xHow lil one by the way :)
13 March, 2009 at 5:09 pm #391000I totally agree, it was disgraceful that this happened, and no, we wouldn’t be allowed to do similar in their country, christ as you said, we can hardly say anything in our own without being branded a racist!!
Its got absolutely nothing to do with racism!!
If these extremists are so against what our! forces are doing in their country, why don’t they go back there and do something first hand, instead of insulting our dead!! Of course they won’t, they’re much too comfortable living the life of riley on our benefit system

5 March, 2009 at 5:51 pm #393339I had a cat, Mollie, never really grew much bigger than a kitten, but such a tyrant
Mollie was around a year old when we got a little westie, he was tiny too, he’d been
quite badly treated and we took him on, he was really a sweet little thing. They did eventually become really good freinds, used to sleep in the same basket together etc.,
In the beginning though, my god did Mollie used to terrorise him  he’d end up jumping up onto the chair and hiding behind me, and she’d sit there waiting for him to come out again, I swear she used to have the biggest smile on her face. :lol:28 February, 2009 at 11:35 am #39209024 February, 2009 at 7:00 am #391777@blackkettle wrote:

Re Jade
She is a young girl, yes, i say young girl!! She didnt have the greatest of starts in life, isnt very well educated, doesnt speak well, has little confidence in her looks or her abilities and had little parental support from what i have read.
Despite this, YES DESPITE THIS, she became a celebrity, how the hell knows one wonders, but surely we are the ones at fault here. We push people to celebrity status for little or no reason. We are obsessed with picking failings in others, we build them up for no particular reason and then take pleasure in destroying them. This is surely because of our own inadequacies in life.
BUT………..what we are talking about here is a young mum, she isnt going to experience all the things that a mum should experience, the achievements of her children, who, no matter how much money is put into a trust fund for them will be damaged by the loss of a loving caring mother, and no one can dispute that.
Both my parents missed some of the biggest events of my life, they didnt get the joy and I didnt have my mum and dad there to be proud of what i achieved, and i did achieve big time, not because of trust funds, but because i wanted to make them proud of me even though they werent there.
Any mum who has ever been ill knows the panic of what it might be like to not be there for their kids, Jade KNOWS she isnt going to be there. To not be there when they are poorly, when they get their first girlfriend, their wedding, first job, their first child, but also not knowing what life is going to throw at your children and you not being there to protect them is an horrendous scenario.
OK, so someone said that cervical cancer may be caused by teenage promiscuity, EXCUSE ME! I bet most of us in here were promiscuous as teenagers, and some still are now at an age when they should know better.
Cancer and many other life threatening illnesses may be caused by smoking, obestity through eating too much etc etc., we are all the product of our previous lifestyles to some extent or another. Do we ridicule the diabetic because they ate too many pick and mixes as kids?!?
So, please give the poor girl a break and even those of you in here who are so damaged that you experience some enjoyment at watching the suffering of others, take heed, you could be next.
For those of you who have offered messages of support, good on ya! There are some nice people in here as well as some pillocks!!
Well said =D>
When I saw a mail letting me know that this post had been added to, I didn’t particularly want to look to see what it was, due to the negative and sometimes downright spiteful comments that have been posted.
I’m glad I did now though. For once, someone else with something more than being flippant to add.
As for taking heed,,,,,no truer words said, there but for the grace of god etc.,
