religion huh? what an immotive subject ay along with politics?

when will people realise that just because they go worship their own forms of a higher authority it doesnt make them good people?

being a good person comes from within not just because you go to church on a sunday or whatever day you go on.

I dont however disagree with any particular religion or the right of anyone to practice it, it just seems to me that something that is supposed to bring people together to pray for peace/goodwill etc has actually caused more wars and killed more people over the time than it has saved.

‘to thine own self be true’ ……. well maybe not everyone….

Wasnt that farmer fellow released in the end, who shot the lad who broke into his place, and according to two people in the pub i was in on holiday in Derbyshire i was sitting two seats away from said farmer whose name i forget (i dont think he was the full shilling btw)

Tony Martin Pete, and yea I do believe he has been released now, I personally think he should never have been locked up in the first place. No, he shouldn’t have done what he did, but then the three young scrotes who had broken into his home in the first place shouldn’t have done that either, had the police done their jobs properly and dealt with them the first time, then the 2nd and 3rd time wouldn’t have happened.

As for who can and can’t walk into your home. Two of my sons so called mates, walked into MY! home, took his bike, sold it for £100 and bought 4 bags of weed. I reported it to the police, they said i’d left my back door unlocked, (well I hadn’t but son did), I was therefore partly responsible   .

They did nothing,,,so I did. It was several weeks later when I saw this lad at the shops, with his mum, and I very loudly named and shamed him, she told me she would go to the police, said fine, be my guest, i’m more than happy to give them his name and yr address.

Didn’t hear anymore from them

Here we are again, back to what is and whats not politically correct. We had this one little while ago didn’t we. Personally I don’t care if Asda or anyone else are selling Ramadam advent calenders, why not!?,,,,,,,,just so long tho, as the Politically Correct Brigade, cos I still believe it isn’t the vast majority of Muslims that do, dont start when it comes to christmas, that we cant have christian advent calenders and/or nativity plays because it might upset the ethnics in our communitys  When in Rome

I am ashamed at travelling at such speed, but I could have been pulled in sooner.

    Lol, what a line………

Agree tho Johnboy,,,,,,too many people prepared to blame others and not take responsibility for themselves.

Reminds me of the incident couple weeks ago,,,,with the schoolgirl who threw something at the police, and a whole incident arising out of it. Her mother, when collecting her daughter from the police station, complained that this had disrupted the start of her school holidays  Maybe if the mother had taught her little brat some manners and respect, none of it would have happened in the first place   Easier to blame someone else tho eh

I think some cope with loss better than others, and then again there are plenty of messed up people with no excuse to be, other than sheer curosity of mind altering substances.

As for Mr Geldof I think he has done an outstanding job of bringing up the kids, but what they do as adults is entirely their choice, and he cannot be blamed for what paths they choose to follow.

We all make excuses for people’s behaviours, but really we all make our own life paths, and need to live with it.

    We’re only human afterall. 8)

Exactly Shaz,,,,,,and I for one don’t blame him for the antics of his daughter.

And we do all cope with loss or any other greif in our lives without resorting to becoming a headliner. She makes her own choices, she has to live by them.

Bollocks you whined on endlessly about your mum and, as far as I can tell, you’re about seventy. An eleven year old that loses her mum and then has to be shielded from all the lurid stories about her in the press is just supposed to get on with it and become a well adjusted nun, though?

I’m not, as you so eloquently put,,,,,going to whine on endlessly.

Just so that you know though Pikey

The difference between my mum and Paula Yates,,,,,is that Paula Yates killed herself, an overdose, self inflicted. My mum, an inquest found, was unlawfully killed, through no fault of her own or mine, her killer, is still yet to be found. If, at anytime in the future he is, he will face a charge of manslaughter. I live with that every day, I don’t feel the need to shoplift, or take overdoses, or maybe thats just my age

By the way, i’m not 70, iv’e another 9 years till I reach 70. Good luck in ataining it.

So you don’t think losing your mum in the glare of the media at eleven and being in one of the most famous households on the planet might bring its own troubles to a young girl, then, Cas? Show a little compassion, woman.

Paula Yates/Geldof,,,,,died from a drugs overdose. Don’t lets dress it up, a drugs overdose, self inflicted, in her grief in the death of Michael Hutchens.

No, I don’t think so. Personally Bob Geldof isn’t to my taste. He did though, do a pretty good job of bringing those girls up OUT!! of the media spotlight, theyre in it now, well Peaches is anyway, if it isn’t shoplifting (a mistake of course , she forgot to pay, how convenient  ) and now wev’e moved on to overdosing on drugs, and i’m expected, well by you at least, to feel sorry for her! to take into account her background.

Plenty people lose people the love every day,,,,,,they don’t use it to the best of their abilities.

Were never going to agree because we see the entire thing differently. Your entitled to your opinion though, but in that opinion, don’t forget that i’m also entitled to mine.

    Au revoir
