Problem there tho is that the human tree huggers rights starts where PC nonsense ends, the parents would probably have sued the school for denying the child his human right to spit at whoever he wants to spit at haha

And if they did try to punish the little brat for misbehaving he would have probably turned up at school with a minibus full of social workers there to explain why him not having an Xbox 360 last christmas means his misbehaving isnt really his fault coz hes really the “victim” in all this lol

On the bright side tho, I MIGHT wake up and find that the last 20 years have really been an alice in wonderland style dream I’ve had whilst in an LSD induced coma and that the country hasnt REALLY turned into the equivalent of a puss seeping kanker sore on the rectum of the planet

    Heres hoping eh?

Uber,,,,,,,,I wasn’t saying that the 4 yr old shouldn’t have been punished. He should have been told off about it, but to make such a thing of it and calling it racism is pure madness

Perhaps if the government used the unemployed to go into the hospitals to help clean as a part of receiving money for sitting on their asses then this problem might be more easily solvable. It doesn’t take that much organising, if the probation service can manage it, then there is a way.

Great idea Kristie,,,,,,but then wouldn’t they start complaining about their ‘human rights’ and wasn’t forced labour illegal?

Then we’d have the do-gooders in their corner, telling us what a dreadful start they all had, and how it’s not their faults,,,,,,,,,,call me a cynic  :)

What needs to be done in part anyway, is as I said, get rid of all the clipboards, manager, deputy manager, assistant deputy managers and so on and so on. oh yeah!! and not give the cleaning contractors such long!!! contracts. When any of us get a job, you work a probationary period,,,,,,,why aren’t the same principles, applied to cleaning contractors, and thats just to start!!!

Just another case of political correctness gone mad

The headmistress was probably covering her own ass in the event of a possible complaint from th 10 year olds parents. However, as no racial comments were made, i.e., verbally, I still can’t understand where she got the idea that anything racial had happened. Wonder if the same situation, in that case, would have happened, had it been the 10 yr old, spitting at the 4 year old,,,,,,,like I said PC gone mad.

Whilst I agree with everything you say Cas and waspish …. I fear that you are shouting at a brick wall…. as we all do when it comes to complaints about the NHS.

The ”bring back Matron” campaign always rears its head when our political masters are under pressure in the NHS – it is a headline grabbing soundbite. Once the hue and cry has settled down a bit, everybody goes back to business as usual again.

I did note that the head of the NHS trust running the Maidstone hospital was ‘allowed to resign’ a few days before the report was made public – so she could keep her enormous pension fund and termination of contract handout, running into hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Of course this report wasn’t suddenly released without warning to the Board (or to the Department of Health), they would have been apprised of its contents well before public release. ‘Removing’ the head was a form of damage limitation so that the remainder of the Board could carry on as usual…. and keep their trotters in the trough.

The wonderful marvellous caring Labour Government has it within its power to remove the entire Board – if they chose to do so. What’s the betting that they will do absolutely nothing at all?

The Health Minister offered a few soundbites about ”blocking” the payoff to the head of the Trust, but in reality he has no authority whatsoever to do this as this payment was made pursuant to the terms of her contract of employment. If he tries it – she will sue for breach of contract and win hands down.

And so the number of unnecessary deaths continue to rise; the monolithic bandwaggon rolls on and on untouched by moral or legal considerations; and the sound of snuffling and grunting of piggy little snouts in the trough continues unabated. Yes its a fine life at the top of Europe’s single largest employer.

I meant to come back to this before PB,,,,,,never mind, here now :D

I understand and take on board everything your saying. You probably know my own situation better than anyone else, we spoke several times on it.

Mark Rees, the chief exec of Queens, has now resigned. He’s the one didn’t remember Margaret Hodge (MP for Barking) speaking to him about my mums case until he was reminded that she’d spoken to him about it when HE!! had escorted and shown her around the new hospital 3 days prior. Now he’s gone, I hold out even less hope of any answers of any description in relation to her death. Early next year we’ll hear about when this inquest is supposed to be, we’ll see, and i’ll let you know the outcome of it.

In the meantime, one of the points to Wasp I was making was that Queens being the brand spanking new hospital it was, why! for heavens sake, is MRSA and C.Diff alive and well and thriving. In part, it’s due to exactly the same company who had the contract for the old hospital, have the contract for the new one. I meant it too, when I said that half of these people who are supposed to be cleaning, look as though a good wash or a bath wouldnt go amiss, and someone needs, and has to, answer for this. It’s disgraceful that a brand new hospital has such a huge MRSA and C.Diff problem.

I went to see my own doc last week, not before time, I haven’t and still not dealing very well with it all,,,,I told the doctor that maybe it’d help if people didn’t keep reminding me of how old mum was, it’s something i’m perfectly well aware of and it still doesn’t and never will, matter. They have to answer for the lies, the poor care, and the eventual death, maybe then i’ll feel better. If they don’t, then i’ll have to find another way of dealing with it, and I will.

In the main, you know, that these people, the NHS, the main players, whether they be doctors, nurses, whoever, will try to sweep it all under the carpet and pretend it didn’t happen. I don’t have that luxury.

Agree with both of you Sharon n Wasp,,,,,,,,its scarey, really scarey.

I live on the outskirts of London, just outside of Barking. I hate going there now, the place if absolutely full of muggers and theives. The ones that will, can call me racist if they like, but it’s a fact, that if theyre not black or asian, theyre kosovan, albanian, and the soon to be more. Like you two, i’m not saying that there aren’t white thugs, of course there are, but not near as many as there are other races, not where I live.

Yesterday,,,,,two plastic policemen outside Barking Station, stopped two young guys, white guys, and asked as they were smoking and havin a laugh with each other, are you old enough to smoke, they both said yes, they both said they were trainee plasterers, you could see that actually, they were wearing enough of it lol, and generally giving the right answers. One of them had ID, the other one didn’t, the way this plastic copper carried on was un-believable, you’d have thought this lad was responsible for all the worlds ills. Woman standing next to me, rolled her eyes, i smiled at her n said, i see they got nothing better to do. This copper turned round and asked me, you got something to say love, I told him not to be so rude, I hadn’t actually been talking to him, and when I did have somethng to say to him, he’d know about it!!!

While this was going on,,,,,I also watched some of these long skirted individuals blatantly picking pples’s pockets!! they did nothing about that,,,,,,,,woulda pulled the racist card wouldnt they.

In the end another copper walked up, cos this lad was getting pretty agitated by now, I wouldnt have held my temper for so long! He took him to one side, had a chat and both the lads went on their way. He then spoke to the plastic copper and was clearly telling him off.

If on the whole, they think the killings, by stabbing, gun crime, muggings, or anything else are up in London at the moment,,,,my own opinion is that they aint seen nothing yet.

    pmsl Pats @ hatches matches n dispatches…………..

A little bit mad is it?….from what I’ve seen thus far I would have thought that a degree of madness would be a prerequisite for Just Chat membership.

^^^ Oh, theres no thoughts about it,,,,,,it’s a DEFINITE prerequisite for JC membership, as anyone who’s been here for a while now will tell ya, don’t you agree Pats

In the meantime,,,,while religion remains the biggest single cause of most wars, why doesn’t someone educate me of the reasons for believing in it,,,,,until then, i’ll remain the athiest, happy athiest, that I am

police are considering bringing legal action after 345 people died last year as a direct result of being admitted to hospital in maidstone.
The hospital trust for Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells wa so dirty inspectors called for immediate action. the hospital cleaning contract was privatised 6 years ago and the problems started soon after. Elderly people were said to be systematically overlooked and their hygene was totally ignored, they were forced to sit in filthy chairs and use disgusting toilets that were not cleaned even on a weekly basis. the report said that the cleaning staff were grossly understaffed paid minimum wage and expected to clean up to 4 wards per shift. [as a retired nurse i can tell you that is impossible] so should the hospital be sued ? should the government be sued ? what about the nurses caring for these people knowing they were in danger ?what about the cleaning firm bosses ? they knew the job could not be done within guidelines but pocketed over 2.2 million pounds in profits in the 6 years they were in charge ?

The cleaning company should be held accountable Waspish, but the sad truth is we all know that they won’t.

While you ask who should be sued, why don’t we ask how could it get to so many deaths before anythings done about it, before it comes to light. You asked what about the nurses caring for these people, good question, what about them!! Your a retired nurse and no dis-respect to you whatsoever, but there is no care anymore, no one cares, not the nurses, doctors, cleaners etc etc., Mark Rees, Chief Executive of our local PCT has just recently resigned, I think the pressure of it all was too much for him, I played a personal part in some of that pressure too, and i’d do it again. My mum was in Queens Hospital for 5 months, December to May, she died in May. This is a brand spanking new hospital, it opened on 10th December last year,,,,,people raved about it, how clean it was,,,ffs it was entitled to be clean, it was brand new, I said tho, that it won’t last long, cos the same cleaning firm as in the old hospital, would be contracting at the new one. Most of their staff couldn’t care less, in fact most of them look as tho a good bath wouldn’t go amiss!!!

Relatives too Wasp. I’d go in to see my mum every day, and every day i’d clean her table, y’know the type that go over the bed, cos no other bugger seemed to bother with it. I wasn’t able to go in one day, because of covering shifts at work, the following day I went in and found her table swimming in food, liquid, creams they’d used, and god know what other rubbish. I hit the roof,,,,,asked were any of them aware that my mum had MRSA which was due to them, and did no one understand the need for hygeine around here!!! you can imagine, I wasn’t flavour of the month!

Personally, I think they should go back to basics as far as hospitals are concerned. There are far too many chiefs and no where near enough injuns. Get rid of all the clip board carriers, managers, assistant managers and deputy managers, and bring back the good old fashioned Matrons. As a retired nurse you probably remember them well, people, including doctors, used to cower in fear, at the thought of facing matron!!
