Yes of course you have a flash of blind rage initially, and I guess that in THAT state you might physically tear someone apart. But all these bloodcurdling threats of what people would like to do to a paedophile are not in that initial moment of uncontrollable fury, but are some time after the event; are done in cold blood; and are even when the attacker is not directly involved with the victim.

I believe that the most certain and unpleasant form of punishment is one that lasts over a long long time and where the offender wants to kill themselve every day …. but is prevented from doing so. The utter depth of despair without any hope of redemption is the punishment I would mete out to paedophiles – cold, merciless and no humanity whatsoever.

You make some very valid points PB , I do wonder if all the passion we have in despising the paedophiles was channelled into campaigns for a revamp of the justice system it would be wiser. the justice system does not lend itself to putting paedophiles away for life, one strike and they should be out!!

I’m not talking about the young couple who may have sex at 15 and 16, im onna bout your hardened paedophiles whether they committ the act or look it up on the net , if they are in anyway involved in the abuse of children for sexual satisfaction then they should lock them up and throw away the key.

just remember these people are abusing CHILDREN , children who should be by the fact they are just that , have the right to be protected and kept safe by adults not terrified every day of their lives by the very people that are supposed to be looking after them.
