Cas sorry about your mum, but i do agree these mobility scooters can be dangerous especially as they use the pavements and shopping paths. 8 mph may not seem all that fast but these scooters are solid machines and to be hit at 8 mph as a pedestian by a lump of metal would do anyone real damage.
I hope your mum is as comfortable as she can be cas under the circumstances and that she recovers well xxx hugs cas xxx
