i use avast antivirus which is free, it gives you
internet mail security and instant messaging security
aswell as a standard shield a web shield a network shield
and a peer 2 peer shield, a few files i downloaded in limewire
had virus’s but the peer 2 peer protection stopped and killed them
before they could get in (alot of paid for virus protection software
don’t have peer 2 peer protection in which they let the virus download
and install before they find it – which can be dangerous depending on
what the virus is). When i installed avast it found trojan’s which McAfee did’nt!.
So yep….they work.

i don’t use those bullshit antispyware program’s either,
they never find every bit of spyware or addware because that’s what they
search for, there’s alway’s atleast one that’s hiding away somewhere.
i use hijackthis….what makes it different from those bullshit program’s
is…..it does’nt search for anything, it open’s up every process that’s running
on your system, all you do is tick and delete, there’s no search time either
so you can use it from start to finish in uder 60 sec’s.
Ya know when you’ve had your computer for a while and over time
you’ve been installing programs, well….you end up with all these programs
in your taskbar down near the clock, all you can do is right click and close them
but they alway’s re-appear when you restart…..well there taskbar process’s,
you can permanently delete them in hijackthis without affecting the program.
But you gotta use with caution because you can delete important windows system
files if you don’t know what your deleting.
