elderley relatives go back home early saturday morning so just general housework for me unless someone comes up with a better offer…..

And felt how lonely I was
that’s when I saw you, and I wondered,

for you had gone far off,

leaving me behind, silent and alone.
Yet I ran, and ran towards you,
Life’s lane was no longer lonely,
for it was filled with new hopes
and new horizons
the lane for once didn’t seem too long,

and faded dreams
ready and waiting
for new ones to emerge
like sparklers on a
cold crisp november night
rising to the surface
new hopes
renewed dreams
floating silently just waiting
for the colours and the dreams
to become one
and once again
new hope is born
flagging dreams
come to life hopping and skipping
into the light
from the darkness that threatened
to take them away
forever
the dream stones
once again enclosed in their box
and reality emerges
